Sem dúvida, uma experiência a NÃO repetir. Num hotel de 4 estrelas supõe-se uma estadia bem passada, com tranquilidade, repouso e descontração, que permita descansar e recuperar da loucura do dia-a-dia. Mas isso foi tudo o que não houve na nossa estadia, porque à noite, sim, à noite, resolveram fazer uma festa de crianças. Quando as crianças já há muito deviam ter visto "O Vitinho" ainda andavam pelos corredores do hotel, aos gritos em correrias desenfreadas. O ruido era de tal forma que até as paredes estremeciam e apesar de ter o volume da televisão quase no máximo, era impossível ouvi-la. Era absolutamente insuportável. Mais parecia que estávamos no interior de um infantário em plena luz do dia. Num hotel de 4 estrelas, deveria haver preocupação em dar conforto aos seus clientes, àqueles que lá estão instalados e não em dar festas à noite e menos ainda com crianças. Um hotel não é o local indicado, nem a noite é a hora ideal para festas de crianças. Parece-me óbvio que um hotel não deveria ser um infantário a laborar fora de horas. De nada valeram os telefonemas para reclamar com a receção.

We stayed here for one night. Rooms are nice as was the food in the restaurant. Very interesting building within the walls of an old fort with original features and its own little chapel. Connected to the main reception by a tunnel the whole place is full of surprises. Drinks were inexpensive and overall it seemed like quite good value for money. Not much to do in Chaves itself but not too bad for a little wander. Like I said, only there for one night stop over on a 2 week tour so adequate enough for that. The pool looked great, but its was not open sadly.

In a beautiful space and with a brutal landscape setting, this is a well thought out, well decorated and well managed unit. Good breakfast. Good options for dinner. High quality sleep. Immensely friendly staff. And an environment of calm and tranquility to behold.

A beautiful and historic hotel building. The bed very comfortable. The quiet and well located hotel. Breakfast, good. The hotel is good but it lacks detail. Surely with little money, and a person with taste, it would improve a lot. For example, the room was large but very "soulless" (among other things, it had nothing to support the two small suitcases we were carrying). The people at the reception seemed "tired", with zero enthusiasm. The elevator had a sticker showing that it had not been inspected (or, they did it and forgot to remove the sticker that said an old date). In short, it is not bad but it could be much better if we were more attentive to the small quality details.

Cozy, clean hotel, with a great breakfast, very close to the historic center and with very friendly and available staff. We loved the games room for family fun after dinner. We intend to return in the summer to enjoy the pool.
