I wish they had cleaned our room! When I asked, I was told I needed to ask for that at check-in. The state of the hotel is subpar, to begin with - needs renovation, carpet was dirty, coffee equipment in the room was not easy to use and don’t provide water. Not finding our room clean at the end of a hot day made the whole experience bad. Finally, I think this is a bad practice for the cleaning staff. They are now burdened with finding filthy rooms at check-in when they could have the opportunity to pace their work. Long term, the hotel is harming itself.

I have never been disappointed staying in a Microtel and that remains unchanged. Room was up to date and very clean - bed was very comfortable. We did not get a chance to check out the continental breakfast as we left at 4:30 am trying to beat some bad weather - but would definitely stay here again.

Unless you like an overpriced hotel room that did not look perfectly safe ( ie glad our car was still there in the morning), with a cracked sink basin outside the bathroom, a rusty bathtub (with no stopper) and an inedible breakfast, then this is your place. Fortunately we stayed just one night. Incidentally it did take over 10 minutes to check out as there was no one at the front desk. The front desk clerk apparently needed a nap as she was the only staff person around. I strongly suggest you do not stay here.
