Polo Cherrapunjee Resort

We had an amazing 3-night stay at Polo Cherapunji Resort! The property is beautiful and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious with great variety, and the service was truly exceptional. The staff were highly professional, polite, and incredibly welcoming throughout our stay. Every evening, we enjoyed a bonfire with karaoke, which added so much fun to our trip. A special shout-out to Sitalin — she is an amazing singer and such a humble and polite host. She made sure all our requests were taken care of and made the evenings even more memorable. Overall, a wonderful experience! Highly recommended to anyone visiting Cherrapunji.

Me and my husband had a great experience. Our stay was perfect. We did not expect the food to be good but it surpassed our expectations. My only complain is with the swimming pool. There were insects floating which was a turn off and it needs better maintenance. I specifically want to appreciate the staff who is working tirelessly to ensure the comfort of the guests. I am happy to see young Khasi boys ang girls offering their service and hospitality. Mr. Albert is an exceptional member among the staff. Keep up the good work.

The only reason we selected this hotel was because it offered a direct view of the Seven Sisters. Our room type was the 'The Waterfall Deck' but sadly due to very less rains this year, there was hardly any water in the falls and it was a let down. Imagine visiting the wettest place on Earth only to be told that it was not the case in 2025. The room had some dried patches on the wall probably from some old seepage, the main door wouldn't lock, broken TV cabinet, the key card kept getting deactivated twice or thrice a day (had to get spare ones from the reception every time), the indoor recreation area was too cramped, dark and the balcony sofas were dirty. The buffet spread was decent but the staff kept forgetting to serve items on the table from the live counters. We had to go and finally pick up our orders. The outdoor area of the restaurant was not cleaned regularly and there were food droppings below the tables. But the biggest nuisance was that we had to go all the way from the restaurant to the main lobby and use the toilets for washing our hands. There was no hand wash in the restaurant itself. They also dont have a policy of serving drinks by the poolside. The staff were courteous but quite indifferent to my feedback. However, I did thoroughly enjoy the bathtub in the balcony :) Another thing that surprised me positively is that they provide accommodation and food for drivers for a nominal fee of INR. 200/- per day. Wouldn't recommend this place as I feel its not worth the money.

Firstborn came up to have a chat, really liked his sweet nature and he explained the khasi tradition to my husband. Enjoyed every bit of our stay

We were told that our room had been upgraded to a cottage. The cottage was awful. I had ants in the bathroom. The plunge pool had no water and was filthy. The front door had big gaps so other creepy crawlies got in. I hated it but they were asking for more to change. Absolutely not a 4 star. The restaurant staff and chef were brilliant. They were very obliging. I would not book there again as the cottage was very dirty and filthy. All the wood needed to be cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom water was slow on draining so you were stood in a puddle when showering Not a good experience for the price paid.

It was wonderfull stay at the property. The property is located facing the seven sister falls. Rooms are very comfy with the best amenities available. Shout out to Miss Linda at the restaurant and Mr makdonald at reception for their awesome services.
