The facilities are relatively new in Chicago, and the rooms are quite large.
It is a bit far from the pier, more than half an hour's walk, but close to restaurants, and ten minutes' walk from the river.
The price-performance ratio is quite high.

The hotel is great. I'm German and American-style hotels sometimes take some getting used to. The JW is top notch, though! The staff is always professional and polite.
Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, so there's no breakfast buffet.
There are no wardrobes in the standard rooms.
I'd be happy to stay there again, especially since I booked at a fairly reasonable price.
