Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown River North

The hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. Check-in and check-out were quick. The accessibility to major tourist attractions is really good. Don't expect too much from the breakfast, but the coffee was delicious! Water isn't provided as standard, so buy some when you check in. There's a supermarket right nearby.

The room was incredibly spacious, more like a suite. As soon as you walked in, there was a sofa, dining table, and TV, like a small living room. Further inside, there was a separate bathroom with a wet/dry area. Across from that, there was a dedicated wet bar area with a microwave and refrigerator. The innermost part was the bedroom, which also had another TV. While I probably wouldn't turn them on much, it's definitely worth mentioning that the room has two TVs. The location is very convenient, with a famous deep-dish pizza place right downstairs (though I personally didn't find it tasty). The hotel gym is also very well-equipped. The only downside was that there was no complimentary bottled water in the room, but that's typical for most hotels in the US.

The suite, both inside and out, was surprisingly large and spacious, easily accommodating three to four people. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center. Within a few minutes walk, you have plenty of restaurants and supermarkets, and you can reach Chicago's most bustling areas within ten minutes. The hotel building looks historic, and the facilities are a bit dated. However, avoid rooms on the street corner; motorcycle riders often roar by before 1 AM, making it even harder to sleep if you're battling jet lag. 😀

Facilities: Well-maintained despite being old. Hygiene: American hygiene standards are generally quite average. Environment: Nice and quiet. Service: Very good.
