Beyond expectation. The room is spacious, directky facing a mayan ruin and sunset, so defintley a plus. Clean roooms, beautiful architecture, very good surroundings in the jungle. Not a lot of visitors so very quiet too, though one can tell the hotel has fallen off a bit. Some irrelevant facilities are disused, and the place seems a bit understaffed.

I originally planned to stay here one night in advance when I chose this hotel, and then go see the pyramids from the exclusive entrance of the hotel early in the morning to avoid the crowds. When I checked in, I discovered that the hotel entrance had been closed two years ago during the epidemic! You still have to drive around in a big circle to get back to the main entrance of the scenic spot to enter the park. The hotel lobby is very beautiful, and the sunset photos are excellent. There was also a large peacock walking around the hotel. The room was not bad either. The overall feeling is that the price/performance ratio is not very high. There may not be many customers, and the swimming pool and other facilities are not well maintained. I originally booked a room with breakfast included, but for some reason, I couldn't see this item in the hotel order. I was in a hurry and didn't bother to argue with them, so I paid first. Later, Ctrip customer service helped communicate and complete the refund. Thumbs up!

I have stayed in hotels several times, and I still prefer the room type facing the observatory this time. The thatched cottage has a lot of mosquitoes and no view, so it is not recommended. There are nightly light shows on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, so remember to buy tickets in advance. The side gates of the hotel and the pyramid are connected, and the location is invincible.

The bed is dirty, there are bugs, it is not punctual, and now the back is not open, so there is no need to think about the next time.

I love staying at Mayaland when visiting Chichen Itza. It is adjacent to the magnificent archaeological site and you feel its energy - while staying in a beautiful serene setting within the jungle. I have many great memories from this hotel. They have very nice staff some there over 20 years. I love reading about the history and all of the famous guests, the film telling the story of the Mayan and the iguanas everywhere. The 2 pools are perfect to take a dip in the middle of the day. The restaurant is very good and they have fresh juices. I remember when you could enter more easily from the hotel but this May 3rd 2024 when we entered we just drove over at 7:45 and parked. It was not so difficult. I highly recommend. A very special place.

This is scam. The hotel no longer exists. The link is to Algotels, not the hotel or chain Algotels is just taking your money. I’ve told TripAdvisor they should remove “Mayalands” but they have not followed through. Look up Algotels on the web for more information.

Undoubtedly beautiful hotel. It has a central body with reception, bar, restaurant and rooms and a series of bungalows located in a large area with lots of greenery. We were staying in one of these. Spacious room and bathroom with bathtub. Very kind staff. Having said this, it should be noted that the furniture in the room was dusty and gave the impression that no one had been there for some time. Thought supported by the fact that the safe did not work as the batteries were oxidized. Last but not least, having used the sink by lowering the manhole cover, it was no longer possible to reopen it to let the water flow out. We reported both things to the reception asking them to take care of it while we were at dinner. After more than two hours we returned noticing that nothing had been resolved apart from having removed the batteries and having diligently placed them near the safe (what's the point?) I had to return to reception complaining about the sink and in the end the problem was resolved. Dinner is a fixed price with an entrée of soup and salad, a second course of your choice and a dessert. We chose salad and fish, both good. The breakfast is American. Last thing, Wifi only works in the lobby.

Beautiful classic hotel in beautiful surroundings. Actually already in the Chitzen Itza park. Had historical visitors over time. Old school. Soon something like this will no longer exist... Lovely swimming pool. Excellent guide can be booked at the hotel!
