Woolpack Inn

A clean pub with beautiful fresh flowers everywhere. Friendly staff. The sunday carvery, roast potatoes totally overcooked, the veg , watery but a decent portion of meat, from a choice of four. The pub was busy, so people obviously enjoy the food, sadly not for us but at £14 really good value for not quite perfect food.

This was a 2* experience at a 4* price (£126/night per person). This is a motel, with rooms in a building adjacent to the pub. The rooms are tired and the one I initially stayed in reaked of inbedded cigarette smoke (avoid Room 2). This could be tolerated if it was not for the fact that the breakfast was dire... No other word for it. Toast, jam and cornflakes do not make a continental breakfast (no yoghurt, no cheese or meats or pastries and no fruit other than apples). Breakfast was restricted in timing and a fried breakfast had to be ordered the evening before (to" reduce waste"). I am more than aware of the challenges within the hospitality industry but to charge such high prices for very little does this establishment no favours. To add insult to injury, we had to sit and eat our toast and jam whilst watching a Saturday Breakfast Club tuck into salmon, scrambled eggs etc - we could but sit and drool. As a pub, the owners are doing a good job but, as a £126/night hotel, the really need to do a lot better.

Very comfortable, all staff very friendly and helpful. Good location. Have stayed before and would definitly use again.

The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The property was quiet, safe, and clean. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and delicious. All in all, a great spot for those who need a quiet spot near Chichester.

Couldnt rate this lovely little jem high enough for a top Sunday Carvery! Plenty of choice and the meats cooked to perfection! And all for the price of £12 for an adult portion of meat then of course, have as many yummy fresh veggies as you like! Roast Potatoes were AMAZING!!!!! Pub has a lovely back garden area with the front area being a rather accommodating carpark. Be advised that it is best to book a table on a Sunday as it can get very busy. Very easy to use online app to do this if you cant phone. Well done the Woolpack, might have to be our regular Sunday thing! Lovely family run pub.... look out for the music festival in July also! We've been a few times!

Terrible mattress so old and stained Bathroom running with damp Cracked basin a yellow stained toilet seat The mattress had springs were in my back Worst nights sleep l have ever had sadly this is not a place we will be visiting again Not a place for couples to stay
