One of the oldest and also the best resort of Taj hotels. Renovated, with wonderful upkeep. Very clean,large rooms. Wonderful and always very helpful staff, especially the front desk staff. Food was excellent and varied,with a good selection of local cuisine . Thanks a lot for a wonderful stay.

Very nice property. Good friendly staff. The only letdown was the restaurant. The morning breakfast options are very limited and items like pastries quality and taste are not that great. For dinner al-carte was available and hence ordered noodles. Being charged Rs 500-600 for plate of noodles, it was served cold and was tasteless. Did not expect such a service from IHCL. We have stayed in many of their property but never had such a bad experience.

It was awesome stay. Very neat and clean environment. Staff are very helpful and well behaved. Food is good. Pet friendly. Rooms are big and well maintained. We got a warm welcome and staff were accommodating our requests if required. Activities and game room are good. We had delicious food. Walk around the property was good in the morning

*Menu was quite short, it can be vast. * There must be one Couch room and one bedroom, according to the price. otherwise Staff was really sweet and hardworking. love the lady and the girl in reception hall. they both are really sweet. Singers are love 🙌🏻🙌🏻 really melodious.

Great rooms, wonderful surroundings... Restaurant was very good. The complete place was a botanical and zoological experience... Lovely coffee and pepper trees... Ideal place to spend a weekend with family. Took us less than 5 hours to drive from Bangalore

An excellent and well kept place. Has a beautiful swimming pool nd gardens. Food is very good. Staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. Rooms are spacious and well kept. Pet friendly. Welcome drink is very refreshing and tasty. Overall an excellent place

It was a pleasant stay. The staff are knowledgeable. Well maintained Garden and lawn. Initiation toward green environment is appreciated. The welcome staff are very good. The location of the hotel is also very convenient to tourist places.

1. TV was not working in all three rooms for most part of the day , the set-top box had to be replaced finally ~@10pm . These things ought to be checked while preparing the room and before offering the room to the guest . 2. The room service for high tea for parents took lot of time (~ 1hr) even after repeated follow-ups and ultimately had to put the snacks on the plate by ourselves and prod the service to supply. 3. At the time of checkout it took ~40 mins to prepare the bills . reason provided was new software is not working properly and have to make lot of manual inputs. 4. Pet with one of the guest was allowed to walk in the pool area repeatedly, could contaminate the pool (as it peed in that area and pet owner was feeding it water out of it) and hence didn't use pool at all - although on checking at front desk it was mentioned that pet is not allowed in restaurant and pool area

It was a wonderful stay in the serenity of chikmagalur. We did our booking for the gateway through make my trip and the package was great. Lovely ambience and amazing staff and it was so rejuvenating for us. We will definitely visit again.
