I stayed at the cottage (Fourth) during Golden Week in May. The cottage seems to have been built many years ago, but it was cleaned and renovated, so I had a comfortable stay. There is a stream flowing in front of you, so you can enjoy nature. Even if the room is a little noisy, you don't have to worry, and it will be a good memory, especially for those with children. The cottage is a little far from the main building and the building with the large bath. It didn't bother me because the weather was good, but it may be a bit of a hassle when it rains. Since I stayed in the building at the front of the cottages, the large bath was actually closer than the main building, so it was convenient. The large bath is small for the number of guests at peak times such as holidays, but the quality of the spring is good and I think it is not too bad. For meals, we had Western food for dinner and Japanese or Western food for breakfast, each person could choose. Dinner was a standard course, but it was delicious. Perhaps because of the holidays, it was a little hectic and orders were not always properly received, but if that was improved, I think satisfaction would increase. The young staff worked hard and I had a good impression. The grounds of Tokyu Tateshina Resort are spacious, filled with greenery, and the negative ions are soothing. It is a historic hotel, but I hope it will continue to be well-maintained and become a resort that will last for a long time. It was a resort hotel that I would like to visit again.

The owner and his wife are very warm. I was really grateful for the warm attitude despite the inconvenience caused by the sickness and the fall. The meal was very delicious. Squirrels come every morning. Amenities were also substantial. I want to stay again.
Tateshina Shinyu Onsen

I believe that this inn is making various efforts to keep up with the news of the times without worrying about being a long-established establishment. Since it's a large hotel, the rooms come in a wide range of ranks and prices, but the public spaces such as baths, lounges, and dining rooms are all the same, so it's best to choose based on what's important to you. If your purpose is hot springs and food, we recommend cheaper rooms as they offer better value for money. [Room] Since I was traveling alone, I thought it would be OK as long as I could enjoy the hot springs and food, so I booked the cheapest room at Suzuran-tei. However, since it was a weekday in the off-season, the room was empty, so I was upgraded to a room at Seiryu-tei. The room was large and had a great view. Seiryu-tei was very convenient because you could go to the restaurant, take a bath, or go to the lounge quickly by taking an elevator. The Suzuran-tei restaurant I had booked was located in the back, so it might be a little inconvenient, but the view was nice and it didn't seem too bad. [Bath] The service that you can use the private open-air bath for free for 30 minutes is very nice. The private bath also has proper handrails, a shower chair for nursing care, and a table for changing diapers, so that elderly people and people with children can use it with peace of mind. The large public bath and women's open-air bath were also very nice. [Meals] Dinner and Japanese meals were served in a private dining room. It's very nice because you can eat slowly and calmly. Dinner is not the Kaiseki meal that is common at hot spring hotels, but more like ``Japanese-style French cuisine eaten with chopsticks.'' In terms of quantity, it is suitable for women and the elderly, but it may not be enough for men. If you don't have enough, you can add local Shinshu dishes such as horse sashimi a la carte. For additional dishes, you can get a discount if you order from the list in your room by 17:00. [Hospitality] All the staff were very nice. Although it is a long-established hot spring inn in the mountains, it had the atmosphere of a city hotelier. I felt the company's efforts to keep up with the times. [Cost performance] This time I stayed on a weekday during the off-season, so not only was the price reasonable, but I also received an upgrade to the room, so the cost performance was quite good. Tateshina is quite cold in the winter, but if you are planning a trip to mainly enjoy hot springs and meals, we recommend visiting during the off-season as it is very cost-effective. [Access] There is a free shuttle bus that runs regularly from JR Chino Station.

We found a limited-time half-price plan online and stayed for 8,580 yen per person, and about 17,000 yen for a couple. I had been interested in staying here since I had read that NEXCO East's Dorawari benefit was half price, so I decided to stay there. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations at all since the price included 40 minutes of free private bathing, but...it took less than 30 minutes to get there from the Suwa Minami Interchange, which is faster than I expected, and on a nice road that wasn't too narrow. I was worried because it was along a valley, but it was no problem as it only narrowed for a moment before the inn. At check-in time, there were several sightseeing buses, which made me feel a bit uneasy, but I didn't have to worry about that, and they handled individual customers very smoothly. Check-in time is 3 o'clock, but everyone was able to arrive early. While waiting, you can get coffee etc. in the lobby next to the front desk, although it is self-serve. After checking in, write your name in the desired time column on the reservation form for the private bath. There are two baths, but they are actually right next to each other, so there doesn't seem to be much difference. I could see the cherry blossoms from the Tsuki private bath on the left side, which was great! ️When you enter the room, it feels very bare as it is very large at 15 tatami mats, but the beautiful valley view from the window makes you feel that way, and it has been renovated and is very comfortable. To be honest, the food was far from the photos on the homepage, and was average with not much flavor, but considering the price, it couldn't be helped, and I was grateful that they brought me some freshly fried tempura, which made it taste delicious. Best of all, even when I was with a group of people at the venue, I was able to enjoy my meal slowly and without any hesitation, and the tables were not too close together. It was so good that I made a reservation and planned to come again with my parents, but due to illness, I contacted them just after 9:00 the night before the cancellation fee was due, but they were very accommodating, and I was very happy with the overall experience. I felt the warmth of the inn. I would like to visit again if I can stay there for 10,000 yen. There are concerts in the lobby in the evenings, and if the weather is nice, there's a promenade on the back mountain, so you can enjoy a lot of fun at this cost-effective hotel. However, although it is a promenade, it is not very well maintained, so be careful! ️ Otome Falls in the opposite direction of the back mountain can be reached in about 10 minutes and was surprisingly impressive! ️Finally, I couldn't go because the weather wasn't so good, but it's close to Mishaka Pond in Chino City, which is a must-see for people who take landscape photos, so I highly recommend it! ️
