Mon Ami Villa Chisinau (room 401, top floor) +Very good location, near to everything, grocery store, restaurants, cafés, main street "Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Boulevard". Safe area and some nice restaurants around. Bus number 30 from airport stops few minutes walk away (40min bus ride from airport cost 6 MDL or 25min taxi ride for around 8 euros/160 MDL). +Clean and big room. +Good and free Wi-Fi, refrigerator, kettle, hair dryer, safe box, air-condition. +Free water bottle (see pictures of mini bar and the prices). +Check-out time is 12 o'clock. +Basic breakfast included (see pictures of the breakfast). +Helpful and friendly staff. +24/7 open reception. -When doors from other floors are closed hard, the door to the room moves and makes noise. -No elevator. The reception is on floor 2, and this room is on floor 4, but it wasn't no issue for me. -No iron in the room (maybe reception have, forgot to ask). +/- You will hear ambulance sound everywhere in Chisinau, also from your room. Good value for the price, I recommend.

Mon Ami Villa was convenient to the city center. The staff was very helpful. I stayed for 9 nights, and would gladly stay again. Occasionally there was evening noise coming from the restaurant outside seating area. The area was well lighted and felt safe

The hotel is a short walking distance from Stephen the Great Boulevard. There, you will find the main downtown area, with shops and restaurants, along with a Stephen the Great statue (and park), plus the Orthodox Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ and Triumph Arch. On the same road as the hotel, there are shops, restaurants, and a bank with an ATM. You’ll also find cafes and restaurants on the streets between the hotel and Stephen the Great Boulevard. The hotel does not have an elevator. Be ready to walk up to the lobby with your luggage. That being said, the young man working the front desk came down and carried my bag for me. My room was large and had everything I needed. The breakfast had enough options for most tastes. Given how close the hotel is to downtown, the neighborhood is surprisingly quiet.

NOT 4 stars! A third floor walk up, no elevator. Horrible service. I had an early flight out and asked for a 4 a.m. wake up call. The call came at 2 a.m. The attendant said I told him 2, not 4, but my partner was with me when I made the call and said if I had said 2 he would have corrected me. I asked the attendant to call again at 4 but he never did. Leaving the hotel, no one was at the front desk, leading me to conclude I got the call at 2 because the attendant was leaving and didn’t want to have to call me at 4. Many better options. Pick any of them.

The hotel is a boutique style and it definitely operates like one. Meaning that the front desk people pay close attention to your presence, always greet you with a friendly “Hello” and ready to help with any, even smallest, wish that you have.
It looks that they have parking space on the side, next to the hotel, we didn’t need it during our stay.
Breakfast is tasty, buffet-style with good amount of choices to try something different for a couple of days. Coffee machine.
Clean, specious room had probably the best mattress we have experienced in hotels. It was firm and when one moves the other wouldn’t even notice that.
Location is good, it’s on the corner of two streets, but it wasn’t noisy. Our windows overlooking in the backyard, so we kept them open for some fresh air.
