大平洋フェリーの50周年のツアーで利用しました。まずツアーは我が家の2名だけだったので苫小牧西港から専用車での送迎になりました。提案いただいた丸駒温泉の日帰り入浴とランチの送迎付き2000円のオプションもよかったです。荷物は預けたので部屋まで運んでありました。スタッフは日本国内の休暇村を移動されている若い方が多く、とても気持ちの良い接客でした。支笏湖のそばに立ちながら部屋からの眺望は良くありませんが、周囲の自然のままの森を散策出来たり、見晴らし台があってここからは支笏湖が美しく見えました。湖畔までも15分ほどで降りられるので半日かけて散策するのも楽しいです。感激したのは期待していなかった夕食ですが、地産地消のメニューが献立られ、それが熱々のまま1品1品サービスされます。どれも美味しくて料理する方の技術の高さを感じました。追加で注文したヒメマスの刺身と塩焼きも絶品で、これには地元の日本酒が良く合います翌朝の朝食も地元野菜のスープカレー屋ちとせの有名なパン屋さんのパンが並んでいます。肝心の温泉は露天も無いので日帰り入浴はお勧めしませんが、肌がツルツルになるお湯は気持ちよいです。苫小牧までの送迎もあり、とても気持ちの良い滞在が出来ました。

I went to the Morap campsite in Kyukamura Shikotsuko. This is a campsite where you can camp on the shores of Lake Shikotsu (really waterside!). There are no excessive facilities like a trendy campsite, but water and toilets are properly arranged and easy to use. It's not a car camping site, so you can't drive in, but there are many carts that you can use, so it's easy to carry your luggage!

I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room. The rooms have been nicely refurbished and are neat and clean. There are also beaded cushions, so you can relax. The hot spring is a little small and there is no open-air bath, but the hot water is thick and makes your skin smooth. You can relax while enjoying the scenery outside. The meal was a buffet with Hokkaido ingredients for both breakfast and dinner. The seafood rice bowl that you make yourself was especially popular, and the staff added ingredients one after another. It was unlimited. You can walk to Lake Shikotsu in about 10 minutes, so it was a good place to take a walk and relax.

I was able to get through the next schedule with the staff's response to JR suspension due to heavy snow. Also the transportation to the "Ice Museum" was perfect. This allowed me to enjoy both day and night. Customer service is top notch. Meals are kaiseki cuisine, and are brought to you as you progress. It was delicious, but it was a pity that alcohol was prohibited at this time.
