Hoping to return, and I did, just before Christmas. Christmas decorations were everywhere. The day before check-in, the hotel proactively contacted me and upgraded my room, putting me back in the very same room I had on my first visit. Eight windows, each offering a unique view, yet all showcasing the authentic charm of the mountain city. No need for elaborate poses or photo editing to capture perfect pictures. The lamb and 'lion's head' meatballs, along with the osmanthus tangyuan at White Cliff Restaurant, made Winter Solstice feel timeless and enduring. Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence!

This was an absolutely fantastic trip! Both the hardware and the service were impeccable. The butler contacted us in advance, met us where we got off, and helped with our luggage. When we arrived in the evening, supper was also delivered to our room. The portion size of the supper was seriously like a full meal. The amenities in the room were the most generous I’ve ever seen in a hotel. They even thought of earplugs and eye masks, and the shampoo and body lotion provided were excellent. This package also included a superb dinner, which my friend and I enjoyed as an early Christmas celebration. The Basque cheesecake among the desserts was incredibly delicious. Later, when we were sunbathing and having tea on the terrace, a server brought us sliced fruit and some small cookies. In short, I felt that the hotel's generosity stems from a magnificent operating philosophy. After reading the hotel team's introduction, it's clear that their aesthetic, attention to detail, and employee enthusiasm are all top-notch. My only regret is that there aren't more hotels like this – I've already recommended it to all my friends!

The hotel staff were incredibly attentive, waiting for us by the roadside in advance. Every single staff member was so nice, both thoughtful and gentle, helping with everything and responding promptly to any requests. The hotel itself is truly a tranquil haven amidst the bustling city, and the expansive river view is absolutely stunning. Both the hardware and soft furnishings show great attention to detail. It was a very satisfying stay.

Extremely satisfied with this high-end guesthouse! Although it's located in a tourist area, it offers a peaceful and private retreat from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are large and clean, with beautiful artistic touches at every turn. The public area isn't huge but it's very comfortable, perfect for enjoying afternoon tea. Highly recommend! Just a small suggestion: given that this guesthouse aims for an artistic, high-end experience, guest experience is paramount. There are often many non-staying 'influencers' posing for photos in the lobby, which detracts from the aesthetic and makes the beautiful lobby less inviting for actual guests. It feels a bit awkward and incongruous. While I understand the desire for multi-faceted promotion, perhaps the guesthouse's positioning could be clearer.

Let's talk about the breakfast. It's à la carte, with both Chinese and Western options. For Chinese, they have noodles like spicy and clear pea noodles, wontons (clear soup or dry mixed), dumplings (clear soup or chili oil), and steamed dim sum like savory buns, mapo tofu buns, crystal shrimp dumplings, and black truffle soup dumplings. The Western selection is also extensive, with a full English breakfast, open sandwiches, and eggs prepared various ways (scrambled, sunny-side up, over easy, etc.). You can order multiple items, and there's also a self-service buffet with congee, dishes, drinks, fruit, and baked goods. For a small boutique hotel, the breakfast variety is quite rich, and the quality is good too. The service is thoughtful.
