Atour S Hotel Chongqing Jiefangbei Hongyadong riverview

The hotel's location and service are both excellent, with the location being a particular highlight. It's within walking distance of Jiefangbei and Hongya Cave, making it very convenient for sightseeing and dining. The front desk staff were friendly and responsive during check-in, and the process was smooth. The biggest draw of the river-view room is the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Jialing River. During the day, you can watch boats travel up and down the river, and enjoy the refreshing river breeze. At night, the Qianximen Bridge and the city's night lights on both banks are all visible, no need to squeeze onto the Hongya Cave viewing platform – you can admire the mountain city's nightscape and get great photos right from your room. The room was clean, the bedding comfortable, and the toiletries were of good quality. There are a few small details that could be improved; being on the 6th floor, if you prefer quiet, you might want to choose a higher floor. Overall, the river view and location are big pluses, and the service is also great. The minor flaws are overshadowed by the positives, making it very suitable for travelers visiting Chongqing. For those prioritizing a view, I recommend a higher-floor river-view room. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Chongqing.

The service was good, and items were delivered to the room promptly. The breakfast had a good variety, and the Chongqing noodles and wontons were delicious. The room was quite spacious, but the cleaning was just okay, not very thorough. The soundproofing was also poor. The elevators took FOREVER to arrive! Other than the convenient location, which is great for visiting Hongyadong and Jiefangbei, this Atour is just average compared to other Atour hotels!

The rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are warm and welcoming. There's free laundry and drying available, and the transportation is super convenient. The breakfast restaurant on the 21st floor has amazing views. It's just a 5-minute walk from the 1st floor to Hongyadong, and a 10-minute walk to Jiefangbei from the top floor. The 22nd floor, which is the rooftop, is actually the 'first floor' everyone talks about – it's spectacular. This video was shot right outside the Atour Hotel's 'first floor' entrance.

This hotel is full of thoughtful details. Located right next to the Kuixing Tower, you really get that unique sense of being on the 22nd floor, which is actually the ground floor. They offer warm congee late at night, and there's a 24-hour self-service laundry room and gym available, with staff even helping with laundry – perfect whether you're on a business trip or vacation. The staff are patient and enthusiastic; a big shout-out to Rongqi and Xiaoyugan! The humanistic vibe is amazing, and the river view is fantastic. Next time I'm in this city, I'll definitely be booking this river-view Atour again!

Staying at this hotel again, I still opted for a river-view room. The overall experience was consistently smooth and comfortable, making it perfect for a leisurely trip to Mountain City, whether you're traveling for leisure or with family. The hotel's location is its biggest highlight, situated in the heart of Yuzhong District. You can walk directly to Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and Bayi Food Street, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and enjoying local cuisine. There's no need to rush around, which makes getting around very efficient. The front desk staff were responsive and helpful, making any requests easy to communicate. The room features a panoramic floor-to-ceiling window offering an expansive and clear view. During the day, you can overlook the Jialing River, and once the lights come on in the evening, the Mountain City night view creates an incredible ambiance. You don't need to crowd into observation decks; you can quietly enjoy the night views of Hongyadong and Qianximen Bridge right from your room, which is great for photos. Objectively, as a river-view hotel in the city center, it sees a lot of foot traffic, and some facilities show normal signs of use, which is acceptable. Considering the location, views, service, and value for money, the convenience for travel and sightseeing is excellent. However, if quietness and ultimate comfort are your top priorities, you might consider other areas.

This stay was a truly pleasant surprise! The room immediately impressed me the moment I walked in – it was clean, bright, and airy. The bathroom's wet and dry separation was excellent, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. Just a short walk from the ground floor, you'll find Hongyadong and the Two Rivers Ferry. From the 22nd floor, you can easily access Kuixinglou and the Jiefangbei commercial area. If you're taking the subway, Linjiangmen Station on Line 2 is also accessible from the top floor, which is incredibly convenient. We upgraded to a river view room, and the night view was stunning.
