The location was fantastic - 山城步道 is just opposite, and 10 min walk away is 十八梯. If you continue walking you will end up in 解放碑 and 洪崖洞. Walk somemore and you will reach 来福士 (took me about 2.5h). The concierge is currently on the 4th floor in a makeshift area but the girls were nice and helped me receive my taobao parcels on my behalf before my arrival. They were also amiable during our communication on Wechat. The hotel room is pretty and definitely aesthetic, but after having been to over a dozen Chinese hotels, the cleanliness can be improved as the sofa chair didn't look too clean and there was plenty of grout. The showerhead also isn't exactly in the best condition as the water was leaking from the sides. Additionally, the toilet also had a bit of sewage smell so that's something to keep in mind ~ The view from the 41st floor is amazing though and you get both street view and sea view.

Such a heartwarming stay! A small mishap actually won me over. The hotel I chose for my trip to Chengdu definitely didn't disappoint! Everything was going smoothly until this morning, after getting ready to head out, I suddenly found the door lock jammed from the inside. I panicked a little. I quickly pressed the service bell in the room, expecting a long wait, but to my surprise, the staff arrived within minutes! The technician was incredibly patient, reassuring me not to worry, and fixed the lock in less than ten minutes. They apologized for the inconvenience, and later, the front desk小姐姐 (a polite way to refer to a female staff member) even brought me a local specialty gift. The hotel environment is very clean, the bed is comfortable, and the location is convenient, with a subway station within walking distance. Although there was a small hiccup, the staff's quick response and excellent service completely made up for it, and it actually left me feeling quite touched. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu, highly recommend it to everyone!
