Perfect location for what we needed and great view of the ocean. Reception wasn't in, but it was all prepared for us when I rang the number, so that was very helpful. It's a typical older New Brighton building, so it isn't flash, but we weren't expecting that. The balcony door wouldn't lock, the bath mat was dirty, the toaster wasn't working, but the hardest part was that you could hear people yelling outside - the bedroom window was missing part of the latch so was not very soundproof and the gusty New Brighton wind was whistling loudly through it. All that to say, I'd probably stay again if the price was right as convenience trumps here and prefer over a backpackers when there's kids.

Bad smell in the room .

Good location. Quiet. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Had everything we needed. Could do with some renovations and paint. Bed was uncomfortable and the wifi was literally useless. Air con unit very noisy.

While the interior of my unit (5) was tidy, clean and modern, the exterior of this property really lets it down. A shambles. Would it hurt to sweep and waterblast? Maybe even a lick of paint? Don't even mention the laundry... This complex thinks it is still a halfway house after the quakes - rather than tourist accommodation. As a local I plead, do better please.

Very nice apartment, close to the beach on a beautiful weekend. Fish and chip shop around the corner great.

Could not go onto Balcony as the door could not open. We were in a top floor apartment. All handrails to the top floor on the staircase was loose. The shower "door" into the tub is placed in such a way that it is dangerous to get in and out of this bathtub, because you have to lean against the wall at an angle to open and close the door while standing in the bathtub. The bed mattresses can do with replacing as it is very worn out. You can feel the bed springs sticking into your back when lying down.
