Comfortable and hygienic hostel located in Christchurch town centre, just opposite to the botanic garden. Overall a very pleasant and affordable stay in NZ

The worst experience I ever have in a hotel: 1. Unclear information about the room: I booked a classic room in a hotel with images about bathroom inside however I received a room with a shared bathroom and the reception complained me because did not read the detailed information inside the collapsed section??? 2. The hotel and their staffs requests me to provide my card information to follow their procedures although it is not mentioned in hotel policy in trip.com. They explained that it will be charged in case the room has issues after check-out. I did not agree with that and suggested that using cash deposit instead but they did not accept and did not allow me to check in? 3. Hotel staff is very rude and I even remember his name as Sameera 4. The room in night is very loudy because of the sound of banging on the door and the sound of opening and closing the shared bathroom door next to our bedroom.

We do try to make our classic room with shared bathroom features as obvious as possible for guest when they book. We do not control where trip.com choose to show room information. I will take your feedback on board and try to show more obviously through the photos that the bathrooms are clearly shared. We do require a credit card in lieu of taking a cash deposit or card pre-authorization, this is normal practice in hotels. I am sorry that trip.com does not state this in your confirmation however this is also beyond our control so I would recommend contacting trip.com regarding this. I will follow up with my staff regarding your complaint for rudeness, I appreciate your feedback on this. Once again thank you for providing feedback from your stay with us. The beds are very comfortable. Staff are friendly n helpful. Kitchen is fully equipped n clean. Will come back again.

Very nice hotel with good amenities, in a convenient location too. Has all that you would need from a hotel, including an attached restaurant on the ground floor that provides a discount for those staying. Only slight disappointment is the lack of off-street parking, but parking is free overnight and so it isn’t too much of a problem. Overall, a nice comfy place to stay!

I am so happy with their service, the day before, I called to tell if I could leave my luggage there at 6am, they agreed to it. They helped me to stow my luggage, after my long day, I got back to the hotel at 10pm to check in, they were so nice to help. but we waited awhile for the receptionist to arrive, not sure where he went, not just us but others who arrived late to check in also waited awhile. Overall, it was really good, love how clean the rooms and toilet were. I really hope they can have the kitchen open till maybe 12am? I wanted to get water for my mother and aunt for them to take their medication but the vending machine was out of stock. The receptionist were missing and luckily after 15 mins, he came. He told me on the other side, there's a distilled water machine. The place smells bad.. I hope they can have a better option for us?
