Super 8 by Wyndham Christiansburg/Blacksburg Area

We found this under a two star hotel. It is NOT a two star hotel.! the owners clearly take great pride in this hotel. Although they are working with some outdated furniture, etc. it is beautifully clean. The staff are exceptional! Kind, generous and caring. We found this to be the best experience in our 45 days of hotel stays. Although it may look older from the outside and have dated furniture, the cleanliness and hospitality far outweigh the negatives. Thank you very much for an enjoyable stay. I recommend this hotel highly!

We have a longstanding practice of utilizing Wyndham facilities and this Super 8 is on the low-end of Super 8's. Very basic, king room; towels were thin but fresh; bed was OK. Breakfast was non-existent other than packaged pastries. Extraordinarily overpriced and quite disappointing. Should have opted for somewhere else.

Booked this hotel thinking it would be better than a couple others I found. Hotel was clean but outdated. Room was clean but smelled like cigarettes even though it was no smoking. Luckily we could stand it just for the night but we won’t stay here again.

I have a hard and dangerous job that makes it so nice to come to a place like home when I'm done for the day. The entire staff knows you and is ready to serve. Wether you use the place as a home base for work or you come for a game it's great.

Room was kindof dirty and in rough shape. Stains on ceiling and walls. Microwave missing a knob. AC unit cover barely hanging on, causing it to vibrate obnoxiously. Previous tenants dirty sock still in the corner. No fitted sheet on beds. Broken/cracked lampshades and light fixtures barely holding together. Comfortable beds a plus

no, breakfast was not available when we left---very limited space for pets where to potty outside---and the room could have been cleaner or updated---toilet seat didn't fit the toilet correctly---shower was difficult to regulate---and pillows to soft for the bed----and it was a bit more expensive what I paid for pets than what ******* quoted-

The room was great with two queen size beds and a couch. AC was great, nice hot showers and was able to watch tv while doing work. Can't beat the many places to shop and eat that were very close.

Check in attendant was super courteous and professional. He made us feel very welcome which was very appreciated after a long drive.
