Days Inn by Wyndham Christiansburg

I honestly think you'd be better off elsewhere... This place is infested with cockroaches, the AC almost caught on fire, the walls have holes in them, and NO housekeeping is available. The maintenance person doesn't do his job and the room I got smelled like fish, cigarettes, and wet dog, I don;t recommend at all. Especially if you have kids...

They are demo-ing a bunch of rooms, so maybe it will be better in the future, but currently the only attractive part of this place is potential for a good rate. Rooms are small. Bathrooms have mildew and were dirty behind the door. Hot water handle was broken. Breakfast was packaged muffins and juice/coffee. Exterior is old. Staff tries hard. Had multiple problems with key card.

So, my family and I went to stay in Christiansburg at this hotel, and let me tell you, the room we got was roach infested, the water was always off for 6-8 hours maximum, and they waited until early in the morning to work on the rooms on the other side from us while we were still asleep. Our room smelled like a wet dog and cigarettes, our sink was falling out, and cockroaches were falling out the inside of our refrigerator. One morning at 2 A.M. in the morning, my mom woke up to the smell of smoke, and our air conditioner almost caught fire. Everybody at the hotel was always smoking **** and making lots of noise, and the management there was absolutely terrible. They were also kicking the people with small babies, or pregnant women out of the hotel and don't rent to Asians. DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!

Avoid this place like your life depends on it. Pictures are lies. Hotel is dirty. Stained sheets, dirty toilet and shower, awful smell. If We wouldn’t have been so exhausted from driving all day/night and had the energy we would have went somewhere else but for just a couple hours of sleep it wasn’t worth the hassle. To top it off I thought I had left most of my belongings including my purse in my car. Better there with an alarm than in that place but I didn’t realize it had been brought in by a family member. When I realized I didn’t have it house keeping claimed nothing was in the room. Yea ok. I didn’t expect people who worked in a place like that to actually have integrity and morals so I hope they enjoy the purse and belongings inside. Enjoy your karma when it comes to you. Seriously I’m ashamed to say I stayed here. Please please choose somewhere else. Sleep in your car before coming here it’s both cleaner and safer I promise you.

To call this place a disgusting trauma-inducing tetanus-riddled vermin pit is a slap in the face to other vermin pits. Broken bathroom door, broken non-working shower, peeling wallpaper, wall stains as far as the fluorescent lights would illuminate, smells of decades of cigarette smoke (in this "smoke-free room") and burned popcorn in the microwave, jaggedly rusty steps, no toilet paper, giant cracks in the 2nd-floor landing... Seriously, I feel lucky to be alive at this point. My son slept in the car after taking one look. It kills me to leave this review, but how are they still open? This has to change. Days Inn Corporation, are you reading these reviews? This isn't a cleanliness issue as much as a structural issue. The staff was very kind, friendly, and understanding, and they deserve better too.

This place should be condemned. Filthy dirty room, bug infested, horrible smoke smell, dirty toilet, stained sheets, dust and mold everywhere. The entire room was disgusting. The lobby was filthy and strange homeless type people were hanging about outside. It was the only place available when we booked the weekend to visit our son at VT. There is not one accurate photo of this place on their website. Please do yourself a favor and do not stay here. Sleeping outside in a box would seriously be better. We are embarrassed to say we even stayed here and we plan on contacting the Virginia Board of Health to file a complaint.

I have never stayed at a hotel as nasty as this one. There were roaches crawling everywhere, even in the fridge. We were greeted by a drug addict as well. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you like roaches crawling all over you or you don't mind unsavory characters mingling outside your room. Please go elsewhere because this place should be condemned as it is inhabitable and gross.

Room in bad repair and dirty. TV did not work. Light fixture in bathroom did not work. There were dead roaches on the floor and at least one live one on top of the refrigerator. The room was not serviced after the first night.

Started out in one room, which had stained bedding, peeling walls, bathroom fan that make a horrific noise and smelled like it was burning, stained chairs, carpet filthy along the edges, and curtain over large front window was falling out of the ceiling. Switched to another room. Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, undermount sink not even attached to the counter, stained bedding and furniture, only outlet by the bed for charging your phone was behind the bed and the outlet was falling out of the wall, the air conditioner had no face on it, so you did not know how to program the buttons, but it didn't matter anyway, because it didn't even work. And, the security lock was busted on the door. It was a horrendous experience. Both rooms had a terrible odor. The sidewalks and balconies were broken, chipped and falling apart--definitely a tripping hazard. And the beds had plastic mattress covers under the sheets, which made it even more hot and uncomfortable without the air conditioning. We would have left, but my hubby fell asleep and it was already 1:30 AM.
