Econo Lodge Christiansburg-Blacksburg I-81

We stayed at Econo Lodge from May 13–18 to attend our granddaughter’s graduation. We paid around $307 per night expecting a comfortable and stress-free stay during such an important family occasion. On May 17, we left briefly to eat breakfast. When we returned to our room, we were shocked to find all the beds flipped upside down and all of our belongings removed. The front desk told us they “thought we already checked out,” even though our reservation was clearly until May 18. It was extremely upsetting and stressful to come back to our room in that condition. We had to demand that our belongings be returned immediately and that the beds be remade because we were still checked in. This situation should never happen to paying guests. Better communication and verification procedures are seriously needed before housekeeping clears out an occupied room.

Terrible management and a dump of a hotel. When you cant accomodate a change in reservation from 2 nights to 1 because of an emergency a week ahead of time (despite a "nonrefundable" rate) then you are penny wise and pound foolish. Even if the management were a bit smarter, its still a crappy place

Little outdated but gor the price and convenience it was acceptable clean as it could be for its age but comfortable and staff was great only downside to staff was house keeping will knock early trying to get ahead of the day

Room was ok... the shower was disgusting. When pulling back all tge sheetz to check for bed bugs there was a black rind around the sheets clear indication that they have not been changing... in a lond time.... goon news no bed bug and no roaches found.. night staff is kinda rude will lock the door in your face even when they see you walking to the door... literally 6 steps from the door

Room smelled of smoke. Very worn out room - walls needed paint, chair was creaky, needs refresh!

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was plesant and professional. Breakfast was very simple with minimal choices (cereal, toast, juice, fruit, etc). Close to the interstate and other dining options.

Quiet, clean, just what we needed for a night's sleep. Contential breakfast wasn't much, but Sheetz was right across the street. Staff was helpful when it came to looking for a place for dinner.

It was so disgusting that we didn’t even stay , drove the 4 hours home at night after an exhausting day! Sketchy place and definitely didn’t feel like a safe choice .

Room was clean. It was basic and could have used some updates. Loved the check in/desk staff.
