The Waves at Cane Bay

The only problem: If you stay in room number 4 the service trucks will wake you up every day at 7:00 am other than that excellent place.

Unique boutique hotel right on the ocean with waves crashing outside. Room has a kitchen with refrigerator and small stove. It is a ten minute walk to Cane Bay beach, which is beautiful. Very nice restaurant at hotel for dinner $ and a couple restaurants by the beach. Only breakfast option is a food truck by the beach on days with a T or S. Closes at noon. You need a car to get to other places or taxi. Not close to stores or the cities, about a half an hour.

The view from the room was nothing short of breathtaking. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the waves was EVERYTHING. The staff was friendly and was able to satisfy any request we had timely. If you want to vacation in a beautiful setting, make your reservations today. You will not be disappointed.

Do you want a magical and mystical Caribbean experience? Then this is your place to stay! I have been traveling the Caribbean islands for over 20 years, being the Explorer that I am, my motto is "Never the same island twice". I have never stayed in such a relaxing, beautiful, and peaceful place before. (This place could convince me otherwise). The Waves literally sits right on the water's edge. Walking into my room just blew me away! The Sea was right there, waves crashing right below me! Sitting on the comfortable porch was like being on a boat. I love small venues without the big resort hype and noise. If you seek the same, you will also be excited to stay there. The beautiful Cane Bay Beach is out your front door. The restaurant AMA was a unique experience too. Sitting right on the grotto with the waves crashing up to the restaurant. The food was delicious, the wine and drink selection were extensive, and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. They are always crowded as people (including locals) from around the island go there for dinner, so be sure to make a reservation. The website's pictures are consistent with the bohemian feel of the room. The staff were always helpful. Room 4 is fabulous! A large corner unit with surrounding windows. Note: There is not an elevator, so if you are on the second floor you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. I was fortunate because when I arrived, Tom w/Maintenance, carried them up for me.

This is a boutique hotel so the typical hotel chain amenities like room service are not there. But the hotel staff and property manager are very efficient and make sure you have a wonderful stay. We loved our room with its comfortable bed, nice sized kitchenette with a coffee maker and big refrigerator. There was some great coffee provided for us in the room to brew each morning as well as a nice bottle of wine. Nice details that were very much appreciated. The design choices for this property were modern bohemian and tasteful. The big balcony right over the water was lovely and nicely furnished with a small wooden table and chairs that we used to enjoy our coffee in the mornings. There was also some super comfortable looking cushioned seating on the balcony that was really wet from ocean spray and never seemed to get enough sunlight to dry it out. So perhaps a less absorbent material for a lounger would have worked better in the space. The location is wonderful and walkable to the beach at Cane Bay and the casual restaurants there. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again for longer.

Basically a motel style place that has had more modern decor touches added. Location directly over the waves is its primary feature. Also easy walk to The Landing and other Cane Bay beach food/drink shacks. Positives: location, walking access to things (beach, food choices, bars - enough for 3 days variety), free wifi, balcony. Negatvies: for $400/night it is annoying that they'll only give you water bottles (2 x 12oz) on arrival - no restock. If the water is unsafe to drink, and the room price is the same every night, then whatever you give me on day one you should give me on any additional days I stay. TV - they don't clean out log in credentials. Housekeeper: deathly ill - coughing, runny nose etc.. but still allowed to work.

Charlotte is untrained rude a liar about almost everything , is incapable of even calling a taxi or getting house,eeping done, need to make an appointment to get room cleaned at $400 a night, look for Tom if u make the mistake of over paying, here,he can and does do everything. That Charlotte can’t or won’t do, not sure how she got a good reviews Room is fine and easy walk to the landing to eat. Be sure to look up when on ground floor housekeeping throws heavy bags down and seriously narrowly missed my partner standing there. But never again for Waves, to many other choices with helpful,kind people Let me emphasize again Tom is awesome and should b running this place!
