Lovely afternoon tea, plenty of food and good value for money. spectacular views Friendly staff and comfortable setting Would definitely recommend to friends and family and anyone who would like a quiet but lovely setting... very pleased with our choice to visit here which is only a hour away. Can't wait to go back again. Park for children outside... this setting can literally cater for all ages

Absolutely stunning, cozy lounge full of character and with an open fire. Comfortable bed and fabulous views from the room. Service was good and staff professional and friendly. Food was delicious and dining space great. Lovely wooded walk nearby. Beautiful place to stay.

Booked the wine tasting at Kerry Vale a short walk away hence an overnight at Mellington Hall. On arrival Dawn was so friendly and helpful, moved our room to a bigger one so as to not to disturb us as they had workmen near the room we had booked in the morning. Prices not expensive and you get the big house grand experience, we had a fab time. Breakfast was great, thank you all. Turns out the wine tasting I had booked doesn’t Start till May!!! I made a mistake booking duh, so I had to rebook for July and of course we’ve booked another Saturday night at Melllington Hall, looking forward to coming back again in the summer.

Lovely position and the views were absolutely beautiful. Staff and food were very good. Well priced for what you get and to be honest I would have paid more for our room. Plenty of free parking. A great place for peace and quiet and romance. Would I stay again YES!

Very nice hotel with excellent friendly staff. Food was very nice. Free EV charger available but located far side of caravan site, but not a major problem unless you have disability problems.

Staff very kind and accommodating. Large wedding in progress blocked the entire front of hotel and front entrance(where signs indicated check-in). I was walking and very ready to reach my room, but wandered around back, sides of building, before finally entered through some back door...By this time, wedding guests had seriously clogged the entire lobby and pub. Fought my way to the bar, finally, and found staff immediately very sympathetic and as obliging, as possible under circumstances. An email warning of scheduled event would have been appreciated, and/or appropriate temporary signage directing diversion for check-in. Staff was super, but wedding party too large for venue. Grounds and room lovely and very comfortable, except seriously, and quickly overflowing, shower stall. Old building and unlevel plumbing, I was explained, but again, a head's up needed and some kind of fix really needed, as there were, literally inches of water outside shower before I realized. Breakfast was excellent, and, to repeat staff, as well.

Great stay at Mellingham hall, staff were very helpful and good with the children. Plenty to see and do around the grounds with spectacular views.

We needed some lunch enroute, and spotted the sign to Mellington Hall . We gave them a call, and yes, we could have lunch there, no problem. (Thursday 1pm) . We drove up the long drive , and was amazed by the beautiful building . We parked up, and was greeted by the lovely Dawn who gave us menus to peruse, as she put some more logs on the fire . We ordered the daily special, pork and apple pie, with chips and peas, and also the chicken and bacon club sandwich.(salad, and coleslaw) Wow . That chef is good ! It really was just an incredible lunch that hit the spot, but very good vaue as well ! With 2 cokes, and tea, and espresso, it came to about £33. An astoundingly tasteful, amazing lunch at incredible good value, in a lovely setting. This is our new spot to visit while in the area . We will be back, along with all our extended family !

We stayed for one night and had a lovey stay. We enjoyed a walk around the grounds after we checked in which was very peaceful. The food was absolutely amazing, both dinner and breakfast were 10/10. We would consider coming back just for dinner! The hotel was quiet and comfortable, just what we were looking for.
