The staff was exceptional - everyone I interacted with was courteous and had a ready smile. Additionally, the location of the hotel makes accessing most venues in the downtown very easy, and the Uber pickup area was well defined for those going to destinations outside of a walkable distance from the hotel. Overall, I had a very seamless, stress free stay from start to finish.

Fantastic location for a conference as it is right across street from the Duke Convention Center and a few blocks (walking dinsance) from restaurants, baseball and football fields, reiver front and a free tolley that takes you to other parts of town. Staff were very frindly and the facilites were very clean and comfortable. I loved it!

Hallway and room is full with musty smell. Room and restroom are very limited space. TV needs payment to watch anything. No free breakfast. Staffs dont know where resources are around the hotel. And during the night, it is quite noisy from neighboring rooms. Don’t recommend.

I’d recommend finding a more historic hotel downtown for the same price or less. This one is super corporate, super expensive, and very dated.

Clean, generally quiet. Staff was friendly and attentive. Check in and out was swift. Hotel is in a convenient location near Fountain Square and convention center, and a few minutes walk to the riverfront. Rooms could use a bit of a refresh. Carpet was frayed in a few places. Some late night noise leaked through the door connecting to an adjacent room. It would help if the bed wasn't right next to the connecting door.

Responsive and unfailingly polite staff, but a worn infrastructure: e.g. dirty pillows in the lobby, scuffed wood, and dark marks on the bathroom door from far too many fingers. Such things tend to take away from the staff and the innovative, locally sourced food featured at my conference. Other food (tavern off the lobby and The Market) was quite passable, although nothing to make particular note of.

The hotel was nice and the room was clean, but the dinning experience was by far the best. Our server was Ms. Helny and she went so above and beyond that we decided to eat there both days instead of venturing into the city! The chef, Ms. Gee I believe, was so kind and inviting and cooked with a smile on her face! Loved it!

Do not stay in room 730. It needs updated badly. Everything else was fantastic! The staff was very helpful!
