Find the Cheap Grundlsee Hotels

Leider konnten wir nur drei Tage bleiben, aber diese boten alles was das Herz begehrt. Ein traumhaftes Zimmer mit freistehender Badewanne und Blick auf den See. Ein einzigartiges Frühstück mit frischen selbstgepressten Säften und ein Abendessen welches mindestens einen Michelinstern verdient hätte.

Beautiful chalet and spectacular view, calm and private, with many opportunities for nearby activities. Great and very friendly service in reception as well as in the restaurant. Speciall approatiation for breakfast and outside bathtub.

The hotel is situated right on the lake. The rooms have beautiful views of the lake and the mountains. The rooms are small but very clean. We stayed in the quadruple room which has a double bed upstairs. The space was a little narrow upstairs and it was quite hot there on the days with high temperatures. The food was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner and it was one of the best home made food we ate at a hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This time it was a mistake. We originally planned to book Hallstatt, but instead booked this resort hotel by the lake. The scenery of the hotel is particularly beautiful. Standing on the balcony of the cabin, you can have a panoramic view of the lake and mountains. In the autumn morning, the air seems to be sweet, and I want to take a few more breaths every time I get up. The biggest highlight is that the hotel has a kitchen. In order to satisfy the Chinese stomach, we went to the supermarket to buy some food and cooked a few Chinese meals ourselves. It takes about 30 minutes to go to Hallstatt this time, so driving is convenient. I will choose this resort hotel for my next vacation.

With regard to the disinterest in arrival, you could still see away (it was just a guest to pay) yet you would have a brief: “Welcome to our hotel, I ask for a little patience” , as a short attention. The room had to be found itself, but it was not a problem. The size of the ”cirben suite” was already. The room was small. It was lovely and only equipped with the most needed. There was a coffee capsule machines. The capsule costs 1 per cent in addition. Sorry, but extremely ridiculous, at room prices, the room service was disappointing. The waste holder was not empty, the towels were not renewed even though they were on the floor. Watte Stabs were no longer. The lady at the reception made the criticism with an excuse, but did not respond any further. The wellness area has come into the years. The lady at the spa area was not found. Although it was said: Spa area occupied- from... to.... Good that the check-in room was accessible and you could take the towels by self-service. The largely announced snack bar in the wellness area was unfold as a lovely apple/orange arrangement. The cord with the towels was empty throughout the wellness area (good if you were torn into the cleaning room by chance and you could use yourself) When breakfast was 9:30, a lot was already grashed and no longer, or only filled on request. The tired ladies prefer to serve themselves at the buffet. (What I give them from heart but as a paying guest, I want to have the appropriate service) Archbishop Johann.... Unfortunately not for the second time

Me and my brother stayed at the end of June for 2 nights half board. The hotel itself smelt really clean and very fresh. The rooms were clean but much smaller than expected. We asked for two single beds but we received a double room. The food was pretty tasteless and not a very big variety. I did end up going hungry. There is a nice pathway from the garden into Bad Aussee. It is a very steep climb back up though. Our first night staying here at Midnight a coach load of kids turned up having a party in the car park. They were not staying at the hotel but kept us up till 2am. This was a very disturbed night. The staff were not very friendly. It did seem to be an inconvenience to be working for them. The sauna we didn’t bother using as you would have to wait 30 minutes for it to warm up. You still have to pay in your total which was not aware to us until paying in person even if you don’t wish to use it. If you are staying on one of the top floors it can be very difficult taking all your luggage upstairs as there is no lift. The toilets in our bedrooms didn’t flush properly and there was constant trickling sound of water all night. If you would like to play table pool it is 2 Euros a game. There are 2 rooms to eat Breakfast/Dinner. All the guests were shut out of the 2nd room with the big windows with the nice views. We weren’t sure why. Minimal parking as they like to leave the car park for the coaches who come in and out. We probably wouldn’t choose this hotel if we were staying in the area again. Please don’t compare this review to JUFA hotel Grundlsee. I would travel 5 miles just to stay in the hotel if visiting Bad Aussee.

The hostess, Gabriele, is very responsive and helpful. She was kind enough to help me call a taxi (the taxi driver is also very kind and helpful) from the train station to the property. The check-in was easy and quick. Gabriele gave us very useful tips to explore Hallstatt, such as taking the small local boat. With the guest card there, we enjoyed a little discount for experiences like the salt mining one. The property was very clean, tidy and well furnished. The environment was cozy and quiet. My sister and I missed so much the big big stars we saw at the balcony there. My family had a wonderful stay there and we would like to thank Gabriele, and her beautiful daughter once again, for bringing us such a warm and homely stay plus a rarely found four-leaf clover. We wish we could stay longer. That’s a property you would not regret choosing!
