Love it that its very near the Green Square train station that is close to central and airport, really awesome for solo travelers.
Hotel room is clean.
Used the kitchen to cook but I don't recommend anything frying over the pan as it causes the whole room to smell.
There is a supermarket 300m from hotel, which is great.
The library nearby the hotel is a nice place to chill as well.
Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great location, just a short walk from train station. There is a woolworths on other side of train station, very convenient. Only one or two train stops and will reach city centre. Was given free breakfast, with a 24h access to coffee machine. Only first day didn't have housekeeping, we asked for housekeeping on second morning and subsequently had our rubbish cleared and soaps refilled. Overall a great stay!

Spent 5 nights in this hotel during NYE to New Year. Location is close to train station, just 2 min walk from Green Square train station, from which you can access to city conveniently.
There's a McDonald's right next door, so you can get food even during public holidays. There is Woolworths supermarket right across the street and a couple of restaurants, mostly Asian cuisines. Room was quiet and clean and the facilities (air conditioning with heat and cold functions, microwave oven, expresso machine, washer and dryer) are good quality items and easy to use. The sleeping duck mattress was comfy, and pillows are just normal soft and firm pillows; however I wish the hotel can provide mattress topper because I prefer firm mattresses. Even though I brought my own contour pillow with me, I still got headache with neck pain for the last 3 days of stay due to mattress. Also there was a sudden emergency evacuation alarm on the morning of 30th Dec. and all hotel guests were asked to evacuate immediately. The alarm occurred 2 times that morning and I woke up suddenly so I couldn't sleep well that day. Overall this hotel is good for stay and I wish to return to this hotel again if they provide firm mattresses or mattress toppers next time.

I felt the attentive service from the moment I walked in - the lady at the front desk had a super sweet smile, and immediately gave us cartoon stickers and children's bracelets when she saw the children. She also thoughtfully upgraded us to a family suite. The tent toys and cartoon bedding in the room made the baby jump with excitement!
Booked 10 nights for a business trip. Suite is huge and equipped with sufficient amenities for long stays (e.g., kitchen, gym).
However, service can be improved. My room phone didn’t work since the first day. Reception came up and said it has to be fixed by the service provider. When asked when it’ll be fixed, the staff said he’s unsure as he has to wait for the service provider to update him.
One day, my duvet sheets came off and made me noticed that the duvet was stained. I was grossed out by it so requested for a change, twice. They mentioned that housekeeping missed my request the first time, but after the second notification, they apparently still missed it. Till the last day, the duvet was still unchanged.
Hairdryer was really old which emitted a strange whirring motor sound when I used it, but it was still usable. On the second last night, smoke started emitting from the hairdryer. This, the staff manage to rectify the next day….
Overall stay was ok, but service could really be improved.
This hostel is absolutely superb, the staff are friendly, helpful, full of local knowledge and go the extra mile. The facilities are cleaned daily, rooms are spacious, air conditioned, large lockers for the bigger backpacks, free wireless internet in the lounge with some computers also connected to the internet, with a large screen TV (which was popular most evenings)
Facilities to clean clothes, cook as well as relax
I stayed in a hotel I still want to stay in. It is very close to Chinatown🤥, and it takes more than 10 minutes to get to Sydney University. You can drink tea and coffee on the corridor outside the Mexican restaurant on the first floor, enjoying the convenience and comfort
The staff of this apartment hotel are very friendly and enthusiastic. There is also a Beijing guy at the front desk who is very dedicated. What needs to be complained is that the hardware of this hotel is average. The home appliances are very old. The shower door, faucet, and toilet seat are all loose. During our three-day stay, no cleaning and towel changing services were provided. The garbage also needs to be taken out by yourself, but it is very convenient to be on the floor. What is unacceptable is the bedding. There is no quilt cover. There are two layers of sheets sandwiched between the quilts. The quilt is basically exposed, which is very unhygienic. The hotel is in a relatively quiet location, close to residential areas. There is a large supermarket in a 5-minute walk where you can buy ingredients to cook yourself. There is a bus that goes directly to the city center in a 10-minute walk. Later, we changed to the suite of the W Hotel, which also provides home appliances and kitchen supplies, but they are all the latest brands, the decoration is very new, facing the harbor, and the price is similar, but we upgraded to the suite for free, so the cost performance is very high.
Send the children to school. The hotel is located close to Sydney University and about 20 minutes' walk from the downtown Chinatown. It is relatively quiet. It is an apartment-style hotel, and it is convenient to cook and wash clothes. The hotel may be older, but the hygiene is still good. The front desk is not 24 hours. Check-in is from 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays. On weekends, there seems to be no one from 2 pm to 4 pm. If you arrive at the hotel when someone is not at work, you need to contact the hotel in advance!
My two kids and I were visiting Sydney to catch up with friends for a few days and just needed a place to crash in the evenings. I used to be a local so knew the Erko would be the perfect home base for our plans - close to transport, groceries, shopping, cafes, and sushi! The 3/4-person room was spacious and clean, the shared bathrooms in good condition (although you had to run the shower for a good 4min before the hot water kicked in! Once the temperature was good it remained steady but I cringed at the waste of water at the outset), and the shared kitchen had great facilities. Although it was noisy when the pub was open, the sound remained unobtrusively in the background (like someone having a party next door) and disappeared altogether by midnight. We were very happy with our experience overall (my kids really want to come back sometime!) especially relative to the price. The only things I would recommend they improve is to get a hot water system installed closer to the bathrooms and see if they can reserve some customer parking in the council carpark next door - I managed to snag one of the two unrestricted parking spots right outside the door on our second day but it was pretty stressful having to move the car every two hours until then. It would also be great to get provide reverse-cycle aircon and secure wifi but those aren't deal-breakers given that we had enough bedding to stay cozy and the council provides free wifi coverage in the area. If you're just looking for a well situated crash pad while visiting Sydney I highly recommend the Erko. Thanks again for a great stay.
