We will definitely stay here again. Lovely little hotel with staff who genuinely care. I was surprised that our room was so quiet. Only a very short walk to a pub and several cafe’s. The room was very clean and even included complimentary bottled water. The free wifi and undercover parking was great too.
This review is for Paramount Motel, 649 Main Street, Kangaroo Point, QLD. Good for short / medium / long term stays; Serviced Apartments. We stayed here 4 nights. There are 20+ units, first and second floors. Each unit has ONE assigned private parking place, outdoors in the lot. Our unit was quiet, comfortable, clean, and spacious. Big bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, window, and a clothes line. Full kitchen, including full size refrigerator, small electric stove, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, dishes and cutlery. Kitchen table and chairs. Bed big enough for two, plus a single bed which we didn't need or use, except as a useful low table. Sofa and coffee table. Desk and chair. Closet. Big TV we didn't use. AC, worked fine. We were lucky to have a unit with a view of the street through the small kitchen window, with screen and security grill, we could open for fresh air. Big window adjacent to front door, we kept the drapes closed. Good WiFi. Overall comfortable. Check in was a challenge. No staff at property. But good staff phone support. Doors have an electric combination lock. Initially our door would not open. Phone support staff told us the number they saw us entering, some of the digits were repeated. Consider the buttons were ”bouncing” and changed press technique to be brief stab the buttons instead of gentle press, then the lock worked okay. A note by the WiFi router warns to not unplug it, because that will break the electric door lock, access won't be possible. Hopefully there won't be a power outage. There was no room service, though longer stays might be able to request fresh linen. Instructions are to leave unit clean upon departure. Failure may result in confiscation of some / all of the $100 deposit. There was a nice swimming pool but no access. Because the gates were locked with a physical key. Assume a request would result in access method. Neighborhood was convenient. Small 24 hour IGA with Subway Sandwich about 200 metre walk. Bottlemart liquor store across the street, also about 200 metre walk. KFC and McDonalds about 350 metre walk. Various bars, cafes, restaurants, etc. Streets felt safe at night, various people walking about comfortably.

This hotel is very close to the Kangaroo Point and not far from the South Bank. Hotel facilities are clean, there is a small refrigerator in the room; the kitchen of the hotel can easily process food; there is a swimming pool outside, the children are very happy; there is a small supermarket nearby, you can buy some food and return to the hotel to process it yourself; there are also bars and restaurants around; The handsome guy is warm and thoughtful. Recommended.
My wife and I stayed five nights in October. What a lovely establishment with undercover and secure parking in a great location in Kangaroo Point. We had a single bedroom apartment (with kitchen) in Tower 2. The apartment was quite spacious and very well appointed. Two 4-seat tables (one out on the patio overlooking the river), two sofas and a small desk and chair, plenty of room for a laptop. The rooms were very clean and bright especially the bathroom which was spotless (one of my little idiosyncrasies). As for the staff, they were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly stay there again next time we are in Brisbane.
It is very new and clean, the facilities are also very good, the price is very high, it is recommended. Behind the hotel is Kangaroo Point Park with a great view. The bus station at the door of the hotel can reach the CBD and there is also a parking lot.
We recently stayed at Dockside Apartments and had a fantastic experience. We were travelling with another family and upon booking, asked if we were able to get two apartments near one another. The property were happy to accommodate this, and placed us in apartments next to each other. The staff in general were friendly and incredibly accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. We were on an early flight and they were happy to store our luggage for us so that we could go and explore the city. We even received a phone call from them early that afternoon to let us know that our rooms were ready early if we wanted to check in a couple of hours earlier, which was such a nice surprise. The apartments are really spacious with a kitchen, lounge room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry. The kitchens are well kitted out and the views over the river are spectacular. The decor in our apartment was a bit tired but the one that our friends were staying in had recently been refurbished and looked very modern and fresh. Fantastic outdoor area with a pool and barbecues. The location is great, with several restaurants nearby as well as a liquor store and a convenience store. The ferry terminal near the hotel is still being redeveloped but once it is complete it will be literally at the hotels doorstep. We still used the ferry but had to walk a bit further to catch it. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and found the staff to really go above and beyond to ensure that we had a great experience.
Please please do NOT stay here. Photos online are NOT accurate. The building is absolutely falling apart, full of mould and foul odour. I felt incredibly unsafe and did not sleep at all. People were screaming/shouting, banging doors and walking up and down the corridors all night, I suspect ***** and alcohol were heavily involved as the whole location feels like a drug house. I feared for the safety of myself and my friend and we left without completing our second night - sleeping in the airports terminal will be much more comfortable.
Great location, super near the dockside where you can take the free Cityhopper to Riverside. Walking distance to Fortitude Valley via the story bridge which is super nice to take a walk at. There’s a Manhattan Pizza nearby - perfect for takeaways, a super delicious French bakery Christina Jacques Bakery and lots of dining options. Free parking was what I needed hence I chose The Point, I typically return back around 5-6pm and there are still lots available. Hot showers are available readily with adjustable water pressure, well done. Chromecast available, room size is good to fit 2 large sized suitcases with plenty of space left. Breakfast is good, it’s ala-carte which reduces food wastages, they even allow takeaways for coffee and food when I did not have time to dine-in for my breakfast. Good place to rest in after a day of sight-seeing. Very value for money and true to photos.

Originally booked a twin bed, but gave a double bed. After talking to Mina at the front desk, she directly gave us another room in the suite. The location is good, and you can see the story bridge without walking to the river for 5 minutes.
