If you like looking at yourself in the mirror, this motel is for you. Apparently lots of mirrors are a decoration feature at this motel - there were heaps of them in the room I stayed at last year and plenty of them in this last room. That bit of weirdness aside, this is a great place to stay. Friendly and very helpful staff, really clean room with all the necessities, and an excellent breakfast included in the price. Good stuff. The only other things I'd mention is that the place could do with some maintenance (a tap was broken in the last room, and a drawer fell off its runner in this one), and the air conditioners are rather dated. They work very well - no complaints there - but they're rather old-fashioned. Overall, though, I have no hesitation in recommending the Grand Manor Motor Inn. Unless you have a problem with mirrors.

This really is the best kept secret hotel around Canberra. Fully refurbished, the interior is as good as any of the hotels close by that charge triple the price (and I’ve stayed in a lot of them). The staff are lovely there’s free barista, coffee and muffins etc in the reception area and it’s centrally located to any part of Canberra. Even though it looks like it’s on a busy circle, the rooms were so quiet. I didn’t even know I was near traffic. Full price point And quality in this star rating hotel. I don’t think you will find a better room in the ACT.

The room was fresh and clean with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Staff member was friendly and accommodating ensuring that I had everything I needed including extra milk, coffee, and tea. As an aged traveller the ground floor room was easily accessible. The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning was easily operated for comfort. Cost of stay was reasonable. I would recommend a stay here. Even though there is no restaurant attached everything is supplied to enable heating and serving of food. The area is very quiet with little or no traffic noise
This used to be a Best Western and was quite good - no longer.. Restaurant used to offer breakfast - no longer. I sat on the room couch (which looked like something retrieved from the tip, having flaking imitation leather which stuck to my trousers and some transferred onto anything else I sat on). No microwave, no cutlery other than a teaspoon, 2 mugs, one wine glass. Then a permanently open window in the ensuite and quite a small shower stall. It's a real pity as this used to be my preferred business overnight stay motel in the region and I'm hopeful that another will fill the gap left.
Well cared for, exceptionally clean and great value for money. This budget motel was surprisingly good with friendly staff and great amenities. A good low cost alternative to pricier accommodation over the border when visiting Canberra but just a few minute’s drive away.
Absolutely fine for a quick overnight stay. Good location near the train station, pub across the street. A large Woolworths is nearby in case you need supplies. Check I was done via electronic panel next to the front entrance. The reception was closed so cannot comment on the staff. Room it's self was worn but perfectly fine. Although the floor creaked loudly. Kettle with tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplied. Along with some biscuits. Rooms on the upper floor had patio furniture out front of the rooms. The bathroom though had some dirt in the shower floor and tiles. A large crack running down the wall reflection of the age of the motel. Plenty of very hot water though with good water pressure. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied. Above the sink there were 3 plastic bottles which I could only read one of labels so had no idea what 2 of them contained. They also had some weird sort of lids /pumps that made them difficult to open. Received a good nightly rate of just under $100 which was very good especially as it was a long weekend. All in all a perfectly adequate little motel good for a night or two while on a trip but wouldn't recommend as a base for an extended stay. Pets unfortunately are not allowed .
The rooms a your typical country pub style. The beds are comfy the rooms are large. Shared bathrooms though so make sure you remember your room key! When I was there a karaoke and birthday function was on which made even the top rooms quite noisy. But it was ok. Mainly felt the bass which put me to sleep. It can be tricky getting into the hotel at stages as they lock the doors, sometimes have to wave at people to get in.
