Op 28 juni 2024 boekten wij een kamer voor de nacht van 29 op 30 juni 2024 in Hotel le Val du Poix. Wat een ontspannen en gezellig weekendje weg had moeten zijn, veranderde al snel in een regelrechte nachtmerrie. Bij aankomst op 29 juni werden wij geconfronteerd met een kamer die niet alleen ernstig vervallen, maar ronduit smerig was. Een doordringende muffe, vochtige geur hing in de lucht, wat de verouderde staat van de kamer benadrukte. De kamer was in schandalige staat: vuil tussen de tegels, beschimmelde badranden en insecten overal. Op het bed lag zelfs een dode spin. Alles in de kamer, van meubels tot beddengoed, was verouderd en versleten. Tot overmaat van ramp was er een niet-afgesloten deur naar de naastgelegen kamer en een kapotte deur naar het terras/balkon, wat ons een onveilig gevoel gaf. Het achterlaten van onze spullen voelde hierdoor absoluut niet veilig. Toen we dit meteen meldden bij de receptionist, was zijn reactie onthutsend. Hij kon niets doen omdat het hotel zogenaamd volgeboekt was en adviseerde ons contact op te nemen met de boekingsite. Een andere medewerker bevestigde de kapotte deur en de slechte staat van de kamer, wat de situatie nog schrijnender maakte. De informatie op de website bleek een regelrechte leugen. De website en foto's gaven een totaal vertekend beeld van de werkelijke toestand van deze vieze, onveilige en verouderde hotelkamer. Ons geplande weekendje weg veranderde hierdoor in een extreem stressvolle en onaangename ervaring. Tot onze grote schrik en ongeloof, toen wij contact opnamen met het hotel om onze klachten te bespreken, werden wij beschuldigd van oplichterij en zelfs bedreigd! Dit onbeschofte en intimiderende gedrag heeft ons compleet van streek gemaakt en de situatie onverdraaglijk gemaakt. Wij waarschuwen iedereen ten zeerste om niet in Hotel le Val du Poix te verblijven. Het was een nachtmerrie van een verblijf, gekenmerkt door een smerige omgeving, totaal gebrek aan veiligheid, en een schandalig gebrek aan respect en klantvriendelijkheid. Bespaar jezelf deze rampzalige ervaring en boek ergens anders.
