This hotel opened relatively recently (a little more than 2 years ago). Price-wise, this is an upscale hotel for Joao Pessoa (the least expensive room is about R$750 or $150 USD—the most expensive room is R$3170 or $638 USD). The problem is that it just isn't worth it. Just to put it in perspective, you can find hotel rooms in this city for 1/3 of the price that have rooms of comparable size and quality. Let me say that almost all hotel staff are very friendly (but not all), but the level of service and attentiveness does not correlate with the level they purport to provide. The hotel has 185 rooms, so it's not a small place. I came here with my wife to celebrate a wedding anniversary (I won't tell you how many so as not to shock you). Upon entering the reception area, we were offered a glass of water in cheap disposable plastic cups; I suppose this is better than nothing at all, but not by much. Upon entering our room, we noted that the glass shower doors were not completely cleaned. I know it may be a pain in the ass for the chambermaid to get the soap scum off the glass, but for the price, I would expect at least that. In addition, the hotel has a sign in the lavatory that you cannot flush your toilet paper (!). Many hotels in the city have similar notices, but they do not charge as much as Oceana Atlantico Hotel charges. Since this hotel was recently built, you would think the hotel could have constructed a sanitary system that did not require you to keep your poopy paper in a trash can next to your toilet. The most annoying thing that happened was when we went to have our breakfast (which, like in most Brazilian hotels, was included). The buffet was decent, but not even close to the best we have experienced here in this city. You might even say it was modest. Certain breakfast items are prepared to order, and you must order with the waiter—I know this because I went to the open kitchen and the cook said I must ask the waiter (and there was only one waiter in the room). The waiter was busy chit-chatting with other staff as I tried to get his attention. Finally, my wife approached him to request the breakfast dish I wanted and it took forever to be prepared (which is OK if the kitchen was busy), but then I saw him walking around with the plate from table to table with my dish, when he finally remembered our table and then came and chucked the plate in front of me. Of course, the dish was not prepared the way I requested, so I did not even eat it. In summary, I cannot recommend this hotel and I do not think we will be returning, sad to say.
Instead of being built towards the sea, the very large majority of rooms have a ”view” on the side, that is a view on a wall (and builders on one side). Either they had a larger plot of land and consequently sold it to make profit, or they didn't take in consideration that one day it would be built. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and could see and hear builders shouting 3 meters away from our window. Additionally, sheet was stained. Luckily, staff is helpful but... they can only do what the management allows to do. We got an other room - 2 floors away from our second room, on the ground floor, still with a view on a wall, but at least on the other side. As it happened, in that room sheet was holed, probably because it had been used for too long. Bed itself is good - one of the very few decent things, together with most employees who do their best - reception is open 24/7. Shower is not too bad, but door does not close properly and there are fungus. On the ground floor, customers go through the corridor passing in front of all bedrooms to reach the elevator: the first night, we heard coming and going until 4 a.m. and we could even hear peeing or a tiny object falling on the floor above us. There is no noise-insulation at all. Swimming pool on the roof has a great view, but is maximum 1 meter deep and during the day, you bath under the eyes of the builders. As already said, staff do their best, but the hotel is so badly conceived - not even speaking of the permanent noise on weekdays, from 7 or 8 until 5 or 6 -that it is not sufficient. Regional breakfast on the first morning - a Saturday as is probably the case for most visitors - was very good, with decent options (not the largest buffet, but corresponding to the hotel size). On Sunday, it was not that good anymore as we started to receive cheese bread (paô de queijo) and other stuff like sweet bread which was (at least) 2 or 3 days old. To the contrary, you may order eggs or tapioca pancakes prepared on demand. Wi-fi is free, but network is overloaded and connection hardly reaches the 2nd floor. On the first night, I realized the bulb from the bedside lamp was burnt. I asked the reception, but they told me they had none at the reception, but would be fixed on the next morning. In the evening, it still did not work... until I realized there was a short-circuit... and could consequently only remove the plug and ”do without” night lamp - I had to read or watch television with the powerful, blank ceiling lamp (not very comfortable for my partner wishing to sleep earlier than me. Last but not least, Cabo Branco beach is quite extensive: this hotel is located (almost) at the very end, which means that you will walk about 2 km minimum to get to the beginning of the numerous restaurants available in Tambau and the closest/other end of Cabo Branco. All in all, this is a very poor value for money - and it should not get more than 2 stars. Feeling sorry for the staff: I think this is the first time I eve

Everything was great, the room was good, the shower was good, the staff who worked there were very polite and attentive. Great location with lots of good things close to the hotel. Excellent breakfast with lots of options. The only thing I didn't like was the card that didn't open the room door and it was necessary to go to reception to exchange it all the time (it happened to me and I saw several other rooms with the same issue).

Apart from the main tourist points of João Pessoa, it is located in the city centre in a quite desert place during the night, making it very difficult for those who are not traveling by car. The hotel is well structured, but the lack of cleaning and hygiene in the rooms, corridors and other areas of the hotel has made a very bad experience of a simple night, without counting on the many mosquitoes in the dining room. For a less demanding guest with cleaning, you can even compensate the daily value. However, in my opinion, it is more worth paying a little more day in a hotel/houser near the beach and the main attractions of João Pessoa, with a more moved environment near lanchones, bars, restaurants, a pharmacy and clean in their dependences.

Excellent
Voltarei sempre e recomendo Sonia
GGuest UserEXCELENTE HOSPEDAGEM.
The hotel was very comfortable and clean and clean.
I found the excellent location, because despite being on the Beach of Maneira, the quietest beach, without agglomerations and night noise, its location is very close to the Beach of Tambaú, The hotel is located in a quiet location, 5 minutes from the agitation of Tambaú.
I would certainly return to new hosting.
GGuest UserThe hotel is well located, near the beach and kiosks, the restaurants of the edge. In the evening, many people in a street position in the neighborhood, but I walked through the area and was not imported. Simple facilities, basic breakfast, well-eaten air, comfortable room.
O black-out do quarto permite entrada de bastante luz.
The Atlantic Beach hotel has been superbly served by staff. We are in a room side view of the wonderful sea (4th floor), giant bed, very good shower. All the hotel services are of quality. The varied breakfast, very tasty, tapioca and omelet are prepared at the time and constant rest, note 10. The location is the cake cherry, near everything. I recommend the hotel restaurant, lunch and dinner with a very affordable price and very tasty.
GGuest UserThis is our last day at the hotel. Firstly, I would like to point out that the photos published are not in line with the reality of the hotel. At the time of our arrival, the official was not even a little friendly. The hotel has dirty, poorly cared, with disguise. We were received in a dirty sandy room, incarnated gardens, bad dressers, disconfortable bed sofa. The worst point of the room was the shower. The water simply doesn't warm. We called the reception and we were informed that we should connect the shower and wait for the hot water to be hot, that was just how it worked, but we could not take a hot bath, just well-morn. The bed clothes are not exchanged, the cottage only extends the bed, we are sure, because the shirt had a sleeve and we realized it was the same every day. The French bread is not new, the positive point of the hotel is the location, and our final point is that we will not return to this hotel because we have no favourable experience.
GGuest UserExcelente localização. Administrado com eficácia. Funcionários educados e prestativos. Limpo e organizado. Comida boa. Café da manhã fraco, pão velho.
Quarto limpo.
Foi uma boa experiência. Recomendo.
GGuest UserHotel with good location; leisure area with bar and a fantastic pool with infinite edge, super complete breakfast, excellent. We were placed in the fourth floor, we refused the room because already in the corridor the smell of mopho is unacceptable, then we were taken to the second floor with the same problem, there we went to the fifth floor that is younger and we had no problems. The request for a room exchange was made without questioning and with the great support of the staff.
If you are aware that you are going to a container hotel, measuring 9 m2, without any luxury, but very clean, and great service, you are going to the right place. The containers have three floors, feet in the sand, a reasonable breakfast, and a team that really wears the shirt. From the owner Milena (who has a cafe next door with a wonderful playlist - Ora Borra), to the receptionists: Uilma, Ana Paula, Paulo to the dear Iracema from cleaning, always leaving everything impeccably clean. I would stay again, as I am a travel agent, I would sell it, explaining in detail what a container hotel is. A well-made sale is no problem! Team Numar, receive my love ♥
