"Tengchong boasts a wide variety of hotels, from boutique hotels to unique guesthouses. Our first stop was the long-established five-star Guanfang Hotel in Yunnan. Facilities: The hotel has been open for quite some time, and the room facilities looked rather dated, with furniture that had a vintage feel. However, I personally found it acceptable, as the maintenance was at least adequate. The public areas were well-equipped. The indoor swimming pool was less crowded and had clear water. There were three outdoor pools, which were mainly for sightseeing in winter. There were also three outdoor hot spring pools, open daily from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Cleanliness: The five-star hotel standards were quite good. I saw many cleaning staff cleaning the outdoor pools, hot spring pools, and room corridors. Room cleaning was thorough, and the bathrooms were clean and tidy. Environment: The hotel gardens were beautiful, with excellent landscaping. The flowers and plants looked especially lovely against the backdrop of blue skies and white clouds. A stroll through the gardens would be a wonderful experience. Service: Overall, good. There were plenty of shuttle buses available, and staff were generally responsive. The management around the hot spring pool was quite good; staff were on hand the whole time to help look after personal belongings like bathrobes and phones. Overall, among the five-star hotels near the city center in Tengchong, Guanfang is the most reliable; at least you won't make a mistake like buying a random item. I personally prefer garden-style hotels, which have a particularly relaxing resort atmosphere."

"Tengchong is a place I've always wanted to visit. I had previously booked a room in the ancient town, but then, fearing the chaos, I chose Jimei. The hotel is located in a quiet villa area with convenient transportation, making it easy to get around, and taxis are affordable. The hotel and guesthouse are nestled in a large garden within the complex. The rooms are clean, sunny, and well-equipped, including a sewing kit. Sitting on the terrace and drinking tea was such a relaxing experience. The breakfast was well-stocked, including rice noodles every day. The beautiful hostess became a friend and recommended itineraries for us every day. Over the course of several days, we visited places that many tour groups wouldn't go to. It was beautiful! The day before we left, the beautiful hostess drove us to eat the famous local snack, roast pork rice noodles.
