"I found this highly rated inn on Ctrip and booked it with the intention of giving it a try. It was really surprising to find such an elegant inn in Nuodeng Ancient Village, Yunlong County, Dali, a relatively niche tourist destination. The owner of the inn, Xiao Huang, is a very careful and gentle girl. She speaks in an organized manner and is not impatient. I didn’t know how to get to the inn with my heavy luggage. When I called her, she patiently told me how to download a Yunnan travel reservation. In carpooling, he explained clearly how to get the puller to pick me up and carry my luggage to the inn. Especially after arriving, she turned on the air conditioner in the room in advance to cool down and relieve her fatigue. The room is also clean, refreshing, and a bit artistic. After eating delicious ham and egg fried rice, we walked around and took a good nap until eight in the morning. The village is very quiet at night, except for the occasional meowing of cats."

"The B&B is in the original countryside. The room window is a mountain view. The boss is a handsome guy, relatively introverted, and the boss's wife is very enthusiastic. Judging from the cultural relics, his ancestors were also a wealthy family. The road into the village is a stone path, which is quite steep. You can pay a horse to pull your luggage. "The hotel is very new, in good sanitary condition, and the price is at the level of a fast chain hotel. The surrounding environment is a bit messy and it is a bit far from the central city. Two things to complain about, the breakfast was terrible, the breakfast time ended at 9:30, and before 9 o'clock there was nothing to eat except a bowl of rice noodles in clear soup, and the waiter said you were late, everyone else had eaten. This is the management level of Home Inn. It would be better to provide them by portion instead of self-service. There was no hot water to wash my face in the morning. The breakfast area is a semi-outdoor bar, which is beautiful and stunning. During this trip to Yunnan, I booked a lot of hotels on Ctrip, but this is the only one with a bad review."

"The B&B is located halfway up the mountain in Nuodeng, and the view from the room window is absolutely stunning. The B&B also has a garden restaurant, and even though it's winter, the garden is still in full bloom. It's hard to imagine how beautiful it would be in spring and summer! The B&B's housekeeper was incredibly helpful. Seeing I was traveling alone, she not only helped me with dinner but also took me to Yunlong's pig-killing rice restaurant. The only drawback is that the sanitary conditions inside the ancient house need to be improved. The baby enjoys playing with them every day. Huh. It was our first long-distance self-driving trip with a 2-year-old baby. We chose Nuodeng and Nuoyan. Of course we were tired, but it was all worth it."

The courtyard has stone paths, swings, flowers and plants, a small terrace and Chinese-style buildings, and even a sunken area with a stove. The living environment is very good. There is a puppy and two kittens here. They are both docile and cute. The room is very unique. We lived on the second floor. We went up the stairs and entered. There are small square windows and exquisite wood-carved windows that can be seen in the distance. You can look up at the wooden roof and ceiling. The interior of the room is very clean. In addition, there are public restrooms and activity areas, which are very convenient. The B&B is located on a mountain. It may take a little effort to climb up, but you can pass through many old alleys along the way. The residential buildings are very distinctive and you can have a panoramic view of the distant scenery. There are many special attractions and delicious restaurants around the B&B. The bosses are a young multinational couple who are very friendly, gentle, and enthusiastic, and take great care of their guests. Although the mountainous roads were challenging, the moment we arrived at the Nuodeng Ancient Well and saw the mountain, our hearts leaped with joy. The refrigerator was stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks, even including Sam's Club cookies! The host, Ms. Huang, was incredibly attentive. When we went downstairs to eat, the melodious sound of Vivaldi's ”The Four Seasons” (a favorite of mine) filled the dining room. The combination of delicious food and music filled us with a sense of joy. The breakfast was delicious, with a rich and nutritious variety, and even the daily presentation of the dishes reflected the owner's aesthetic sense. The owner truly puts so much effort into something meaningful! In just three days and two nights, we relaxed like we were in our own home. Every day, we gazed at the verdant mountains and the ever-changing clouds, climbed the many steps to see the Jade Emperor Pavilion and the salt well, learned about Nuodeng's history, and experienced the simple customs of its people. We even happened to witness the Bai ethnic group's Torch Festival. It was truly a wonderful and unforgettable trip. The driver and mule who helped us pull our luggage up the mountain were also very lovely. The driver introduced us to the sights along the way. Nuodeng's ham is certainly well-deserved. Nuodeng has so much to offer, and we are grateful to Ms. Huang and her family for the warmth they brought to our journey."
