Find the Cheap Bernkastel-Kues Hotels

Wir verbrachten zwei Nächte in diesem, von den Eigentümern geführten Hotel und können es im allen Belangen empfehlen. Es liegt in einem Wohnquartier ca. 1,5 km vom Ortskern wo man von den Touristen und den Parkplatzsuchern (im Zentrum) nichts merkt. Genügend Gratisparkplätze, saubere Zimmer, tadelloses Frühstück. Die Chefin ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Es hat uns hier sehr gut gefallen!

It was very nice to meet with a smiling face

We spent one night in this beautiful hotel, where the castle with the premises are absolutely gorgeous! However, besides that, there were many flaws that left a bitter taste regarding our stay: - towels were not prepared at all upon our arrival. This is bad enough, but mistakes can happen, so we asked at Reception for towels and they apologised and reassured us that these will be delivered soon. When we came back after 3 hours, the towels were not there and we had to follow up on our request and Reception reassured us again that these will be delivered within 5 minutes. After waiting about 20 minutes, Housekeeping delivered 2 hand towels, but no bath towels, so we had to ask the person and we finally got 2 bath towels as well. So, after asking for something, which should have been prepared already before our arrival, 3 times, we finally got it. - the smartphone could not be connected to the TV in the room, even though the exact steps were followed. When reporting this at Reception and asking for a solution, the Receptionst said ”it is a known issue affecting other guests too and there is no workaround, unfortunately” (they could have offered an HDMI cable for laptops, but no resolution for smartphones) - the blind in the bathroom could not be closed, so we had to take a shower next to a window, where others could look in (we did not report it due to the ineffectiveness experienced and to the fact that we stayed one night only anyway) - we had no minibar fridge in our room - there were coffee stains all over the carpet in our room near the coffee machine - the staff being ineffective (though, always polite and friendly and apologetic, but cannot resolve any issues effectively) - breakfast is poor with good quality of food, but minimal selection, ignorant breakfast staff (they did not bother to ask whether we want tea and coffee or anything from the ala carte menu), and this for 34€(!) - upon check-out, no interest regarding how the stay was, only whether we want the invoice printed or sent via e-mail Based on the above-mentioned points, this hotel is definitely not on 5-star niveau . It is a shame really, because the hotel looks absolutely stunning and the area of Lieser is very pretty too.

Very nice 3 star hotel with excellent value for money. Rooms are spacious and well decorated, certainly for a 3 star hotel. Several buildings, all around the main building. Breakfast ist excellent. Lots of choices, fresh orange jus, excellent selection of cheeses and cold cuts. We had 2 evenings dinner in the restaurant. Food is good, at reasonable prices. Nice asparagus specialties. Excellent wine list with 1200 different wines. You can find some real bargains on this list. All in all excellent value for what you get and a great place to explore the Mosel region. Staff is nice and friendly as well. Will certainly come back when I am around again.
