The central location is positive. The rest is negative. It's more like Airbnb with a reception on the 6th floor of a run-down building. There is smoking at the reception, which you can smell in the front rooms. The furniture is yellowed, there are scratches on the wood. Everything makes a loveless and unkempt impression. Without ventilation, the rooms are fine. Even a window was broken. Breakfast only on demand and normally only from 9. Then it takes half an hour. Who wants to leave early for the sights should wake up early and hope that e. g. a guy from the reception “feels able” to prepare some breakfast (which was always bread, cheese, foul, a salad that’s all). Maybe it’s a place for a solo traveler man but not for someone with a western standard.

The room smelled bad and the bathroom drain was clogged. The environment around the hotel is very safe. There is a kazaz restaurant a few hundred meters away from the hotel, which is very good. Hotel staff are nice. The hotel's ancient elevator will make you feel like you have entered the world of Harry Potter.

Breakfast is average, you can have an extra bed, can take the child, the location is remote, there is a parking lot. In the middle of the rules, I left the meeting place and ordered it here, on the side of the Nile. Service in general

This hotel was fantastic. My entire family was sad to leave. We could have stayed another week. The rooms are beautiful, the beds luxurious, the restaurants fantastic. The restaurant Saigon was out of this world. Make sure you order the sushi. It’s quite a presentation. Our waiter and busboy were attentive and nice. The belly dancing show at night was so much fun to watch. I really appreciated the bouncer and manager accommodating us and helping us get into the show the first night we arrived. If available, try and get a room associated with the fairmont gold lounge. The breakfasts are out of this world and the happy hour can substitute for dinner since there is so much food. Everyone remembered our name. Special thanks to Amir, Mohammed, salma, salma and abanoub for making us feel welcome everyday. Last but not least, the teenagers loved the rooftop pool and spent many hours there everyday. The staff were super attentive to them and catered to their daily multiple smoothie orders. Like to thank Mahmoud, Mohammed, walid Salem, moustafa ,and mohy for taking great care of them everyday. We toured some of the other nice hotels, but in my opinion, this one was the best and most beautiful. Egypt has been on my bucket list for 15 years. It was a fascinating city with so much rich history. We were well taken care of by our your agency, seeegypt tours. . Would highly recommend them for all your needs around the city. Thanks to all the wonderful people we encountered that made our vacation extra special.

We really liked the location. A lively street with lots of quality restaurants, shisha cafes, etc. close to everyone and in the center of Cairo. You should know that my hotel's swimming pool is also that of a swimming club, so it is busy from morning to evening. This is a detail to take into account if you think you will find peace and quiet there. There is what they call a large hammam which is more of a pool between a swimming pool and a paddling pool. This did the trick for us to cool off after a day of visiting in the heat. We didn't have time to hang out by the pool with the amount of things to do in Cairo. The breakfast is correct and good. I find the value for money good. We were put in a room on the street side which seemed to be a problem because of the noise and incessant honking, it's a local habit but ultimately no, we slept very well. We went to bed late between midnight and 2 a.m. so it was quieter.

It is not far from the Cairo Museum in the downtown of Cairo's old town. In a small alley, it is more difficult to find. It is recommended to translate the hotel address into Arabic. The local driver in Cairo is not very good at English. The hotel room is generally watered in public areas. The service is quite enthusiastic, the floor is relatively low, the door is locked at night, and the hotel does not provide slippers.

You get a room and that is all and not a very good one at at that. The room had seen better days as it probably has not been renovated in decades. The TV that worked with one channel in Arabic and a remote that didn’t work. The tv was an old Grundig from the 1990’s. The wifi worked ok sometimes and not at all most of the time. The room had a Kitchenette that included a steam kettle. No coffee, no tea supplied. I thought breakfast was included but it wasn’t. Apparently it wasn’t included in my room purchase. It wasn’t a cheap purchase so I would hate to think whatever the more expensive package would cost. I was charged an extra 100 EGP for a breakfast that was very minimal. I tried to get the front desk to arrange a taxi for me. The front desk person told me to go out front and hail a cab. He simply walked away from me. Did he not know how difficult it is for a non Arabic speaking person to talk to a non English speaking cab driver. My advice to remember that foreigners need your help. My advice to anyone out there. Book another hotel. You pay 4 star prices for 1 star accommodation.

Nice breakfast on one day. Clean room. Convenient location to train with good walkability. But I expected more from the staff's local knowledge. They had absolutely no idea where a post box was, even tho I'd seen one myself a few days earlier and simply couldn't remember its exact location. Then, no help whatsoever in mailing a postcard bc post offices would be closed for several days. One day's breakfast was disappointing compared to only the day before - the place was inconsistent. Great walking location also meant Uber driver had a difficult time reaching us at one point in the evening, and we walked to them after some confusion. Lively downtown area also means a LOT of street noise. Hotel's wooden floors, doors and hallways were incredibly loud at all hours, and staff was loud in the morning. Bring earplugs.

The hotel is down from the previous level, the rooms are a AC-B لما I need a scent, or the Pearl Respension says a present, and the other one is a Yagi scent. I ask for a scent box, or the Pearl says, ”No, if I'm a scent in the BS.” Well, is it a talk? I mean, I'm a perfume or perosol, the home and Jay, in the name of a respected company called the public oil company. Of course, no, especially, and the bathroom -- God dear -- Maviush is a slippery, if you let them pay attention to the slippery, the bathroom for your restaurant, I'm not going to ask for lunch or dinner under the slippery, is it imposed on me, or on the slippery, and the water is not imposed on it, and the slippery, the slippery, the slippery, the slippery, the slippery, the slippery, the slippery, the slippery, the s With the whole meal together. A walk of necessity means every time we say Hatwa live a medicine Hatwa da Ana Lu in a normal or popular meal restaurant that you get off the ground with the food. Your presence is a big company that we're supposed to treat as big as your presence is a Jain Blasch, our company, we're going to walk with our beauty. In my way, your hotel is unfortunately bad at me and think about any Tani hotel contracted with the public oil company and advise my colleagues and friends, whether on the sites of communication or Trip Advisor to think a lot or not to go to you, and the idea that all Egyptians walk some of the garment in preserving rooms. There are Egyptians who are learning from them by foreigners -- so that you're here, and you're happy with them -- what it means to be clean and thank you.

EEmilieGraceThis hotel is beautiful and breathtaking! It has an amazing pool and restaurants. However it is far from city center, it’s about 30-40 minutes away by taxi. It is a great spot for a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a couple days. The staff was super helpful and were willing to go the extra mile to make sure my stay was enjoyable!

GGailThe hotel and staff were phenomenal. The reason I took one smile away for facility, was I wanted to get a pedicure and they gave a referral in the mall that was terrible. They should not refer anyone there; it was uncomfortably juvenile in the environment. I ended up leaving after waiting 30 minutes listening to workers talk, argue, show pictures on each other's phones. Other than that, it was an incredible experience. Khaled Abdelkhalek with the concierge was outstanding. He was taking care of every need. I booked 2 tours thru 4 Seasons with Marwa, she is on an entirely different universe, so intelligent, kind, intuitive, and I could keep going with praise. If you ever need a tour, she is the one for you!! I also had Mohammed as the driver, between Marwa and Mohommed, they are the dynamic duo. I feel so fortunate and honored to have met and been able to spend time with them. I had several hours to wait for my flight, so I sat in the lobby and had something to eat and drink, they were so accommodating. I do not recall if her name was Daliah or Liza but she was great. Took care of me and was very kind. I travel a lot alone, and it can be tricky sometimes, but the people at the 4 Seasons made it seamless and like home!

AAnonymous UserIn general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights. Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building. * Location & Transportation Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum. And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price. In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones. Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it. * Building and room conditions Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room. It is quite convenient a washstand in each room. However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler. It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel. * Cleanness & Safety Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this. * Services There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water. Wifi is too weak to use the internet. Other services like laundry are satisfied. * Others During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally. In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better. And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable. Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.

GGuest UserThe Holy Sheet Hostel has a great location and we felt we were very central in Cairo. The area is somewhat walkable but never feels safe and gives a whole new meaning to walk like an Egyptian. In the morning the streets are quiet but after 2 pm everything seems to get crazy! The staff are very friendly here. The breakfast was nothing special but it was a nice fresh meal with tea or coffee to start our day. Mario, Alex and the kitchen staff were helpful enough and always friendly to us. This is one of the cheaper places to stay in the area so we can't complain too much about it but we wish it was cleaner. We booked the twin room which had a bathroom inside of it. The beds had hair in them already and the room smelled a little bit from the drains. The AC did work well though and the room was very quiet all night which was nice. The toilet and shower are in the same box without a roof or fan so go #2 at your own risk. We chose to use the shared toilets in the hall which had fans. We were a little disappointed with the booking and check in process. We chose Trip for booking and it started three currencies in our booking but also showed we only had to pay 3100 Egyptian Pounds when we arrived for our three night stay based on the currency exchange when we booked. However, when we arrived they told us we booked through Expedia and had to pay 3600 Egyptian Pounds instead. We went back and forth for a bit but because it was late they were kind enough to check us in without paying because they could not reach their manager. The next day however I went to inquire and they said the manager said no and they tacked on another 300 Egyptian pounds to our check in because we were using a credit card. They did say that if we had used Booking or Hostel World we wouldn't have these issues. This has never been an issue in my 4 years using this booking platform so I'm disappointed in this hostel and their management team for this. The hostel is a little tricky to find but it is tucked down a street which is blocked off to cars and is on the 2nd floor of an older building. There is an elevator to get you up there but it is old style meaning that all the doors and gates have to be closed in order for it to operate. There are a ton of cats nearby and some good restaurants and convenience stores too.

BBeckCastle Hotel is the best place to discover Cairo! It felt like home to me. I was in 8 different hotels in Cairo on my tour: castle hotel is my family and my choice no1 now. I know where to go to on future trips. Castle Hotel :) The hotel is located in the 16th floor, so you have the best view you can find. You can see so far. You can the city, the Nile, a little bit of a pyramid. Best traffic connection because ramses street. Shops 1 minute walk. Abu tarek koshari 5 minute walk, river Nile 5 minute walk. The staff is amazing. Friendly, always willing to help, welcoming, discrete. It’s a very nice vibe up there. The sounds of the city far away. Very relaxing. Next time I book an extra night just to enjoy the view. It’s just vibrant there and you feel the energy of the city. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for everything! See you!

GGuest UserI travelled in Egypt through April into early May, a good time to undertake the journey before the onslaught of intense summer heat. I am sole, independent traveller in my seventies and had pre-conceived ideas regarding the places I wanted to see and had researched modes of transportation. I arrived at Cairo Paradise Hotel, for which I have utmost praise. From reception to house-keeping, the staff are unfailingly courteous and helpful. My month in Cairo coincided with Ramadan and I was invited to partake of the evening meal at the break of fast. Ready to embark on my explorations, I soon realised that due to distances and piecing together public transport, considerable time and effort would need to be expended. I outlined my places to see wish list to Amr, the Hotel Touring Manager, who, with diligence application tailor-made an itinerary, including events and places off the ”tourist track” with drivers and at times, a guide. All came seamlessly to fruition with meetings at airports or train stations never failing to eventuate, at surprisingly low cost. I feel that I have captured the ”Essence of Egypt.”

GGuest UserThis ”hotel” is a scam. It is a room in an empty derelict building. The front entrance is wide open. There is no reception or security. It is not a hotel although comes up in a search for a hotel. I was fooled by the name ”Cairo Dream Boutique Hotel”. It is a nightmare. There was a poor looking guy sitting on a chair outside the building. By western standards, this place was worse than scary. I booked this accommodation on ******* and all nights needed to be paid up front (unusual). I arrived late at night. A guy in an old dirty car picked me up at the airport and he was the ”hotel transfer”. That was the first red flag. He was parked at least a 10 minute walk from the airport. On the way to the address, driver wanted to stop the car for gas . . . I was asked if I would like some food in my room. They would arrange for something to be delivered. By now I was starting to get worried and asking if it was a real hotel. I did not get a straight answer. When we arrived it was off the main area of traffic in a dark street. The door to the building was wide open. There was no one around. The building sounded empty and hollow. Curious and trying to not base everything on western standards, I went to the room. Then when we got to the floor still no one around. The hallway was dark. The driver opened the door of the room. It was also dark with a dim bulb lit. I saw two beds but it was so dark I could barely make out what was in the room. I did not go in - I was afraid of being alone with driver and being raped in the room. The pictures on the ******* website are fake. They show beds with white linen and furniture. There was only two beds in the room next to the wall. Windows were wide open over the bed. The elevator did not work to go down and I ran down 7 flights of stairs with my bag. I could not get out of there fast enough. It was almost midnight and I just wanted to go back to the airport. The person who registered this site with ******* was fully paid for each night booked. When they were contacted by ******* they said that I did not ”check in” and therefore not eligible for a refund. Frightening experience and set the tone for the rest of my visit to Cairo. To be aware, and that there are no regulations. People can fool authorities and be certified to list with fake pictures of an accommodation. I am a seasoned traveler and have traveled through the middle east a lot - this location was the worst - an area I would not walk through - let alone stay in. I appreciate everyone needs to make a living, but the name of this accommodation and the website are completely misleading. A complete scam. I lost my trust in everything and everyone from that point including booking sites. Will be doing my research with regard to reviews and stick to a chain hotel for arrival. Then visually inspect a potential accommodation after arrival.

The Egyptian Museum in Cairo
我是金宝宝The Egyptian Museum is worth visiting. It is one of the four largest museums in the world (the Louvre in France, the British Museum in the UK, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the US), and it is also the largest collection of ancient Egyptian treasures in the world. From the Old Kingdom to the Roman rule, every artifact tells the glory of ancient Egypt. The thousand-year-old treasures here are completely open, messy, and randomly placed in the museum, and people can touch them. Designed and built by the famous French archaeologist Mariette, who is called the "Father of the Egyptian Museum" by the Egyptians in Phra, north of Cairo in 1858, it is one of the world's famous museums. It was officially opened to the public in 1902 and houses many historical relics from the ancient Egyptian Pharaoh era to the 6th century AD. It has more than 300,000 cultural relics and 63,000 pieces on display. Because this museum mainly collects artifacts from the Pharaoh period, Egyptians are accustomed to calling it the "Pharaoh Museum". Its collections range from prehistoric times to ancient, medieval, and imperial times, as well as Greek and Roman art.
River Nile
MM40***51The scenery of the Nile River is quite good, the water is very clear and the flow is quite large. The more distinctive feature is the cruise buffet, which is available during the day and night, and there are also singing and dancing performances. On the cruise, you can enjoy the scenery on both sides of the river, which takes about an hour and a half.
Khan el-Khalili
LLesteriA vibrant market place in the heart of downtown Cairo. An authentic and very much local vibes if you want to experience Cairo. A place in which you can find anything to buy.
Tahrir Square
GGullyTaking into account the historical significance, the is a must visit in Cairo. Just know you can’t go up to the monument because it is surrounded by guards.
Cairo Citadel
我是金宝宝It is very convenient without queuing up to buy tickets. The second stop is Saladin Castle. Saladin was an outstanding military strategist and politician in the medieval Muslim world and the founder of the Ayyubid Dynasty in Egypt (reigned from 1174 to March 4, 1193, during the Southern Song Dynasty in China). Since 640 AD, Egypt ended the nearly thousand-year rule of the ancient Greek-Roman Empire. During the 10th century, during the reign of the Fatimid Dynasty in Egypt, the country was strong and the territory was vast, which affected the eastward expansion of Christianity by the Pope of Rome. In 1095, the Pope of Rome convened a religious conference to encourage Christians to rise up and eliminate Eastern Muslims to recapture the "Holy Land" Jerusalem. The Pope launched a total of eight Crusades in 200 years. From 1164 to 1169, Egypt was occupied by the Crusaders. Saladin was ordered to march into Egypt, repel the Crusaders, and preserve Cairo. In 1171, Saladin deposed the Fatimid Caliph and established the Ayyubid Dynasty. The Saladin Castle was built by Saladin to resist the invasion of the Crusaders. It has been the residence of Egyptian rulers for the next 700 years. The Ali Mosque is the biggest attraction of the Saladin Castle.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization
MMohamedissaThis is one of the most amazing moments in my life, when I mate the kings and queens of one of the most beautiful civilizations in history, watching their mummies and treasures and reading about 7000 years of history.
Cairo International Convention Centre
MM99***06The Cairo International Conference Centre is conveniently located, where international exhibitions and large conferences are held regularly and is an important meeting place for Africa.
The Hanging Church
燃烧生命的小胖妞The Hanging Church is the oldest Christian church in Egypt, built on the southwest gate of Babylon Castle in ancient Cairo. The main hall of the church is suspended in the aisle. It is a holy place for Egyptian Christianity, because 1800 years ago, the Virgin Mary, who was pregnant with Jesus, escaped from the pursuit here, and later went to Jerusalem to give birth to Jesus. Although the church is small, it is very beautiful and preserves many relics of saints. However, you can only see it here because you cannot take pictures.
Al-Azhar Mosque
倩宝嘻嘻Egypt Tour - Amr Mosque 6 Destroyed by fire in 1168. Rebuilt by Saladin in 1172, maintaining the original scale. It was the only official mosque where successive caliphs, sultans, governors and ministers held the last Ramadan prayer until 1952. It is now listed as a historical and cultural relic protection site by the Egyptian government
