Hôtel au calme, en campagne, en retrait du village véhicule personnel indispensable. Ambiance un peu austère malgré un soin particulier à la décoration. le personnel est très nombreux et accueillant. La chambre était assez propre: à revoir les joints du carrelage de la douche et rajouter une balayette pour les WC. Nous avions opté pour la formule demi pension et les buffets proposés que ce soit pour le petit déjeuner ou le diner étaient assez variés et soignés. Nous avons regretté qu'il n'y ait pas plus de variétés de légumes autre que les pommes de terre même si les frittes sont excellentes on a pas envie d'en manger à tous les repas. La piscine intérieure est appréciable mais un peu triste: quelques plantes vertes et un peu d'éclairage sur le mur en pierre la rendrait plus attrayante et un nettoyage de la ligne d'eau et une aspiration du sable en fond seraient aussi nécessaire. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de piscine extérieure car avec ce temps de l'été on aurait beaucoup apprécié de se baigner en plein air! Nous disposions d'un peignoir chacun dans nos chambres mais les tailles s'arrêtent au XL(dommage pour les grandes tailles) et pas moyen d'échanger avec une serviette supplémentaire! Seulement 3 oreillers et pas 4 dans la chambre. Un mini réfrigérateur dans la chambre avec des boissons proposées, une TV mais que des chaines espagnoles ou des radios. . Une bonne climatisation. Nous avons eu accès au circuit Balnéo: la température de l'eau de la piscine était trop élevée pour moi ainsi que d'un des deux jacuzzis, l'atmosphère très chaude m'indisposait et j'aurai aimé pouvoir ouvrir vers l'extérieur. Nous n'avons pas testé les massages. Cet hôtel est assez bien situé car il permet des excursions pour des visites des villages typiques environnants, des 3 monastères réputés, de Montblanc une ville fortifié, et même de Barcelone et aussi pourquoi pas une journée à la plage. Loin des tumultes des villes, ce lieu respire la tranquillité.

To start with : Valls is not a nice place and this hotel is located about 2 km from the town centre, next to an industrial area, the main police station and some low-cost housing buildings. Unfortunately, one of the factories nearby emits a very unpleasant, sulphur smell ... not all the time, but regularly. For that reason, you can't leave the room window open, even if inside it is too hot. Of course, we can't blame the hotel for all that ... But although we were supposed to have a ”Superior” room, we had no air conditioning, no correctly functioning wifi, no correctly functioning refrigerator and no correctly functioning lighting. The manager will tell we should have complained about all this, but we don't travel to spend our precious time complaining : we just want all these things to be OK from the very beginning ! Moreover, cleaning (esp. of the bathroom) is very superficial and communication with the reception before arrival (via e-mail) was rather unfriendly. For the price we paid (about 115 EUR / night without breakfast) this hotel is just not good. Not good at all !

Stayed one night for flight next day from Reus airport. Staff fantastic shout out to the female receptionist on shift Saturday pm( 29th july) she came into restaurant and explained the whole menu to us in English a very time consuming job but was brilliant and added humour ! The gentleman on reception was also very nice too they both got the boarding passes printed for us. I have to also say the lady waiting our table was so lovely bless her we all struggled with the language barrier and got by on Google translate. The food was amazing 18 euros for 3 courses and a drink of whatever we wanted! We did get a discount voucher on reception for a cocktail but we were exhausted and had an early morning flight. Breakfast plenty of choices including meats cheeses scrambled eggs, streaky bacon, fruits, toast croissants and pastries! The pool was lovely despite being busy at first we waited a couple of hours till 2 pm and all 6 of us got a sunbed each which we had for just over an hour and a half then more came so we left to give others sunbeds. The location is lovely but the hills my dad did struggle with as it was very hot too. The cafe at the bottom or the road ( not in the hotel) woman was awful we asked for lunch as it advertised sandwiches drinks and cakes but when we asked she said we close at 2pm and it was 12.50? A but annoying since the only cafe we could find! My daughter didn’t fancy the lunchtime menu at the hotel and we only wanted a sandwich. We landed up using a spar across the road which was huge and we got bread, ham, salads drinks etc there then had a picnic surrounded by beautiful scenery! Overall good stay to be had. I would suggest a kettle in the room would make all the difference but we did get a couple of coffees from the cafe area. Recommend for airport run also as it’s not too far cost about 30 euros for a large people carrier and 5 cases 6 people.
