Spent one night here last weekend, the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the Versailles Rive Gauche train station. We arrived earlier than the 3pm check in time, but were able to leave our luggage whilst we went for lunch which was handy. We were in room 41 on the second floor - the room was nicely decorated and a reasonable size, with a large and comfy bed and free tea and coffee making facilities. In the lobby there were also some pastries we could help ourselves to which was a thoughtful touch. There was no air con in the room, but there were 2 large fans and we could open the window which helped a bit as it was hot during our visit. On the next street (Rue de Satory) there was a good choice of restaurants and a couple of bars. We stayed on a Sunday night which meant some places were closed, but we had no problem getting a meal and a few drinks.
We have been in Europe for a week right now traveling to Paris, Normandy and the palace of Versailles. This hotel, by far, is the best we’ve stayed at and the price is very very realistic. The staff, every one of them, has been wonderful with us. The hotel has a lot of amenities that many lack. The rooms are beautiful and quaint. Like most hotel rooms in Europe it is much smaller then American hotel rooms, but that doesn’t bother us. it has a lot of the modern conveniences, but with an old world charm that is reflective of Vienna. You can buy a bottle of beer in the lobby from one of the local breweries, which are amazing. They have many other drink options available as well. The rooms have coffee machines, and there is an ice machine in the lobby.
Located in Versailles (Notre-Dame), Hôtel Le Bout du Parc is within a 10-minute drive of Palace of Versailles and Palais des Congrès. This hotel is 10.5 mi (17 km) from Roland Garros Stadium and 11.5 mi (18.6 km) from Parc des Princes.
Enjoy recreation amenities such as bicycles to rent or take in the view from a garden. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, a fireplace in the lobby, and tour/ticket assistance.
Enjoy a meal at the restaurant or snacks in the hotel's coffee shop/cafe. Quench your thirst with your favorite drink at the bar/lounge. Continental breakfasts are available daily from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM for a fee.
Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. This hotel has 3 meeting rooms available for events. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 65 air-conditioned rooms featuring Smart televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and digital programming is available for your entertainment. Bathrooms have showers and toothbrushes and toothpaste. Conveniences include desks and blackout drapes/curtains, and housekeeping is provided daily.

When we checked in, we told us that we didn't have a reservation, but we gave us a room at the scheduled price. After communicating with the customer service, it is said that the agent is a problem. The hotel is not bad, meets the standard of this price, and is also very close to the Palace of Versailles.
Excellent room comfort, excellence service (Mr.Gilles very kind and also Italian-speaking, much appreciated!), very good position to reach the Chateau of Versailles, closeness to the Train Station but any noise from trains. Very good breakfast, with nice top floow view. Very pleased about my stay!
Two couples, both celebrating 50 years of marriage, using Rick Steve’s guide book to choose our hotel. We have stayed in Versailles before but not here. This was an excellent hotel, nice rooms overlooking the very old courtyard, quiet for sleeping. Breakfast each morning was delightful and fair priced. Walking distance to both train stations and the Palace at Versailles. Only 50 steps to the Versailles marketplace and numerous restaurants. Well done.
Me proposant....
The room is small, the breakfast type is general, the parking lot entrance is very narrow, the underground parking lot space is not large, the veteran can better handle it, every time you come back, you have to go to the front desk to let the car garage door, you can press the button when you enter and exit. There is a self-service laundry room nearby, you can go to wash clothes. The space for hanging clothes in the room is small and the hangers are not enough. There are a lot of food nearby, there is a supermarket 200 meters away, and things can be basically one stop.
The reason we've given the Hotel des Lys 4 stars rather than 3 is the location. Just around the corner from the Market Place in the centre of Versailles where there are lots of bars and restaurants and a fairly short walk to the Palace of Versailles. The hotel itself is ok - a little bit dingy in the public areas but our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The car park is difficult to access p a very narrow alley at the side of the hotel and once you've got in, it's very difficult to make a 3-point turn. We booked the hotel as the first stop on a two week tour of the Loire Valley based on previous reviews and we'd certainly recommend it if you want to be central and have easy access to the Palace
Great location - less than 5 minutes walk to Palais de Versailles! We were upgraded to a large size room (loved it!) with a mini fridge to store water bottles. We had a very comfortable sleep, lovely breakfast and pleasant overnight stay at this conveniently located hotel. The staff was excellent! The receptionist (I think her name was Catherine) was very helpful with directions, parking and coordinating for a taxi. I would not hesitate to stay there again during a future visit.

Outstanding
KKelLy.KWe stayed only one night here to visit the Palace de Versailles. This hotel was no shortcoming for us in terms of location, service, facilities, amenities, etc. If I have to say one thing then the over-night parking fee was a bit expensive. There’s no doubt that this hotel would be the best choice in the area and of course I’d like to stay here when we visit Versailles again.
Outstanding from start to finish. I was contacted prior to the booking to sort out some anomalies in the booking, by telephone. Subsequent communications about our potential late arrival and the availability of parking was all dealt with very promptly and efficiently. The welcome was fabulous and the lady on reception could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Our room on the top floor was absolutely brilliant and had everything one could need even for an extended stay. The one and only drawback would be it is of course on the third floor and there is no lift so if stairs are a challlenge it could be an issue for some, in that specific room (gallerie des places). There are ground floor options and so I would suggest that is asked for if stairs are an issue. The parking one can book is a very short (30 seconds?) drive away and accessed off a narrow street and has a tricky entrance. Once inside all is easy but I can imagine some drivers with larger cars would struggle a little more than we did. Great location for exploring the nearby Palace of Versailles and a terric place to stay. It is self catrering and the presence of a small ”city” Carrefour directly across the road open to 9pm is really handy too. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay perfect.
11010.JessGreat hotel if you want to stay near chateau versailles. It was a 5min walk to get to the palace. We checked in after 12am and the hotel staff was very good to accommodate us. Upon arrive the staff gave us relevant information, helped us with bags up the stairs as there is no lift. He also gave us a cake which my daughter absolutely loved. There was a fan in the room which was good considering there was a heatwave.
The have lemon water and passtieries available for free at reception which was a nice touch for myself and kids ro enjoy after a hot day of being outside. We also brought bottles of water which were €2.50. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was clean. We had a double bed which for me and my 2 children in. There was also a sofa bed made up which my eldest child used.
Even though we only stayed in the room to sleep for around 6 hours it was a comfortable stay. We did not have breakfast.
GGuest UserWe visited just for the weekend and what an amazing time it was. The staff on reception were professional and welcoming, speaking a number of different languages, including English, as did all the staff we encountered during our stay. I was so thankful for this as I saw one of the reviews which stated an expectation to speak French, this was simply not the case for us. We had a fabulous spacious 4th floor room on the park side with a small balcony. The bed was by far the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in so far and the slippers provided, a much better quality that those in other hotels and we have been to a fair few. The bathroom was great, but just a word of caution if having a soak in the tub as it’s very prone to slipping due to the shape. A rubber mat for inside the bath is provided for you to use. Breakfast was a buffet only (no menu) and was very limited, although you can order a number of different egg dishes. There was just one chef and a bit of a queue. I don’t think this was unusual as there was a polite notice asking guests to come back once they have placed their order, which I did and maybe I shouldn’t have as it seemed that my order was then put on the back burner. I know this as I saw countless others guest getting their orders in and receiving their dishes before me. It’s only when I approached the station that the chef then went to get my order. The eggs Benedict received was ok but very close to being hard boiled and I prefer a runny yolk. The breakfast experience overall was ok, with staff being very polite when you asked them something, but this could have been better by them checking in to see if we had everything we needed, e.g. more coffee. I always think when it comes to hotels and indeed in life that ‘you don’t know what you don’t know’ and so far this year we’ve had exceptional service at breakfast from the Westin Palace Madrid and a truly amazing buffet with options to order extra dishes at the Ritz Carlton in Vienna, both of which renewed my faith in the hotel breakfast experience, so I know more can be done here at this hotel. We didn’t swim in the pool but it was a good size. The gym was amazing if you like like to keep your exercise up whilst away and the staff were very friendly. A tip for guests wanting to visit Versailles Palace & gardens, get you tickets from the concierge if you haven’t booked in advance. Indeed we hadn’t booked in advance and there were no tickets on the website when looked, so we were so relieved when we asked the concierge about this. One of the highlights of our stay has to be the view from our balcony at night of the Bastille fireworks, this was simply outstanding and totally unexpected, an experience which we aim to replicate next year and will return. Merci infiniment
CCHANGNINGIbis Palace of Versailles is cost-effective, and breakfast meets the requirements. Parking is inconvenient and difficult to find for first-timers. Thanks to the leadership of the hotel staff, I found the parking space. Indoor parking is safer. Convenient to visit the Palace of Versailles
