"The location is incredibly convenient. From Gatwick's South Terminal, head towards the car park, take the moving walkway, then the elevator to the first floor of the car park. Exit the elevator and follow the corridor straight to the Hilton lobby. I even saw Saudi Airlines crew checking in. The rooms are minimalist and modern, and the staff are efficient and professional. To get into the city, you can take the Gatwick Express or Southern Line train from the terminal, and it's a quick 30-minute ride to London Bridge."
"Conveniently located right next to the North Terminal, it's easy to find and appears to have plenty of rooms. Check-in was self-service with minimal staff assistance. We, an adult and a child, were given a family room with a large bed and a smaller extra bed. The facilities were okay, but only one towel was provided, and it was a bit dirty. There was no mini-fridge, and we hadn't booked breakfast. Surprisingly, the price wasn't much different from the Sofitel next door, but it felt like two completely different worlds. Walking past the Sofitel during our check-in, the difference in ambiance was very noticeable."
"While the hotel isn't far from the airport as the crow flies, you have to navigate around a highway, so those with large luggage should be extra careful! The hotel's self-check-in system is incredibly user-unfriendly. It showed 'checked in', yet still required a staff member to manually confirm and issue the key card. The problem was, this manual process was even slower! Early check-in isn't permitted; even an hour early costs an extra 5 pounds. The staff offered virtually no service. As for the room, it exemplified 'bare-bones efficiency': a single roll of toilet paper for all needs, one type of liquid soap for both handwashing and showering, and one cup for both drinking and brushing teeth. There was no air conditioning, only a fan."
"I had booked a **King room with a bathtub** for one night. When I checked in, it was already very late—around 11 PM. **I had been traveling for over a month, so on my last night, I really needed a room with a bathtub to relax my body.**
However, when we arrived, the front desk guy gave us a **disabled-access room**, which, of course, had **no bathtub**. I thought about asking for a change, but I was **extremely tired**, and it was too late.
The next morning, I called the front desk to ask what had happened. The staff member said it was because they were **overbooked**. **She didn’t apologize and even seemed to blame me, saying I should have asked when I got the key.** She also claimed no other rooms were available at that moment.
I explained that when we took a shower in the disabled-access bathroom, **the water didn’t drain properly**—maybe something was clogged. This made it **dangerous because slipping was a real risk**. After listening, she called back **a minute later**, saying a room was now available and that I could come to the front desk to switch.
I felt **very disappointed** with the service and will **never return**
Also the kettle was very dirty."
"Pros:
Location of the hotel, right above the Gatwick South Terminal. You can access the flight check in and airport departure entrance via the hotel lift. Useful if you need to catch an earlier flight. The hotel provides a hot drink corner that provides free coffee and hot chocolate which is a nice touch.
Cons:
Due to the size of the room, the shower is integrated with the toilet together. Thus after a shower, the toilet will be all wet which makes access it bit of a challenge."
"The room is really small. I would say it is only suitable for one person. It is as small as you can't open your suitcase throughout the whole time in the room. You need to climb up to the bed. It does not feel that private. The window is on the door with a manual blind. And it is next to a see-through toilet. No chair is provided as there is not enough space to get a chair. You need to ask a hair dryer from the reception. Reception is available most of the time at night. Snacks and drinks are available as well. The location is tricky. The hotel is in the terminal, but there is only a lift to let you access the hotel. So, you need to go down a level from the terminal by that specific lift. Clean in general, the shower and toilet are not separate but it is a bit of distance between them."
"I had a wonderful 3 nights stay in this hotel. Choose this place because of late arrival at Gatwick Airport plus departure from there as well. Easy to go to London central and Brighton via train. The room was huge and the bed was comfortable. The amenities were well provided. Also, the staff was so nice to give me a late check out since my flight has late departure."
"I stayed here last night due to a last-minute flight cancellation. I was really grateful to find a room so close — the hotel is right next to the terminal, which made everything much easier, especially after a stressful travel day.
The check-in process was smooth, the staff were helpful, and the room was clean and quiet despite the airport location. I didn’t expect much because it was such a sudden booking, but I was pleasantly surprised by how convenient and comfortable the stay was.
Perfect for an overnight stop or unexpected delays. Definitely a solid choice if you need to stay near the airport."
"Close to the airport, receptionists were helpful, clean beds and nice interior design. Nice place to catch the early flight or rest after a late flight.
It's on a shuttle bus service route but the bus costs you 5 pounds per person."
"Excellent stay, highly recommend. Hosts very accommodating. No 3 bus from Gatwick South terminal stops literally outside the property. Fare is £2/person. Great alternative to staying in the immediate vicinity of the airport."
