"I like The Moxy. You know what you’re getting. I also like that they gave recently greatly improved the food offering and standards of catering at their EDI hotel. It’s easy in, easy out, small rooms but nice beds and pillows and decent little shower rooms.
It would be good though, for the airport hotels in the same area to co-fund a covered walkway to the terminal as the 10-11 minute walk in inclement weather is grim, either end of a flight!"
"The hotel provides the shuttle bus for the guests to travel from the Edinburg Airport to the hotel or vice versa. Besides, the breakfast of the hotel is quite delicious."
"The check-in was straightforward and we used express checkout to leave. Our room was good. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed our food, which was fairly priced for this type of hotel at the airport. It was fairly easy for us to walk to the airport straight from the hotel and any reasonably fit person should be able to drag large cases that distance. All was well and we enjoyed our stay."
"Practical location, but disappointing breakfast and service
We stayed here the night before an early morning flight, and the location couldn’t be more convenient – just a short walk to the terminal. The rooms are clean and functionally furnished. However, the staff could be more welcoming; the service feels very transactional, as if guests are just passing through.
What really disappointed us was the breakfast. While it’s a paid extra, the early breakfast offering (from 4 AM) was extremely minimal – even less than what you’d expect from a basic Holiday Inn Express. It felt like cost-saving was the main priority, not guest satisfaction.
A convenient place to sleep before a flight, but don’t expect much beyond that."
"The hotel was lovely and in a convenient location. We only stayed for one night but managed to make use of the wonderful spa and gorgeous breakfast. The spa staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating to all our needs. It is easy to get into Edinburgh City Centre either by use of the Park and Ride (10 mins away) or drive in (30 mins). If you book, make sure you add on the breakfast, you will not be disappointed!"

"Can’t say I enjoyed my stay but I think that’s down to my fault for choosing this hotel.
At 13²m for the room, it’s exactly as stated & despite having a bunk bed (the attraction for my daughter), it felt very cramped for 3 people but served its 1 night purpose for a missed flight.
Toilet and Shower were separate but next to each other & a bigger person would struggle inside the shower; Shower pressure was brilliant and well warm which was a plus. Sink was inside the room & bed right next to shower which kinda made it feel cramped.
I wouldn’t recommend it if you feel claustrophobic, but for a short 1 night stay it might suffice.
I also can’t say the price paid (£135 which wasn’t full price because of the site I booked from), was worth it. For that size of room, it shouldn’t be no more than £80 for last minute booking which was our case.
Location was a short £8 taxi from Edinburgh airport via Uber."
"I always stay at this brand hotel because it's close to the airport, has easy parking, and has a good and varied breakfast with delicious steak. The room is clean and tidy, and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful."
"Loved the breakfasts! Normal fry up one day, haggis the next! We had an early start to go to the Highlands, but breakfast was all ready at 630am. Were even allowed to take some fruit and pastries away for the trip. Staff helpful, ordered our taxi. They were not too clued up on getting the transport into the city, this would be helpful as we are easily 30 minutes away from the centre.
I would avoid getting the tram in and out of the city as the distance to the Gateway or Gyle Centre stop is a little far and unless you know where the hotel actually is, then it gets frustrating going the wrong way to get there. TIP:- From Gateway go under the bridge (well lit) and turn left to go up some steps (not ideal with suitcases) to get onto Glasgow Road, head past B&M then you can see the hotel. From Gyle Centre head towards Glasgow Road (dont try to navigate around the shopping centre just head to Morrisons and the main road - the other way you are trapped with no access to cross the railway line!) - go up the stairs and head towards B&M.
If you are lucky enough to read this, then I have saved you 40 minutes and 2 miles of frustration! Some buses are cheaper than others (X38 was 1 quid for adults, kids were free)(100 is the airport bus - expensive)(31 was similar to tram price 2.20gbp for adults, 1.10gbp for kids)."
