"Cross the bridge and go straight to the shopping area. Not far from the car, there is a weekend second-hand market. Breakfast is delicious. The room is clean and the window is full of spiders."
"I only stayed for the night and had a good night's sleep. The room was cosy with a large, comfy bed. The only minor issue was that the shower wasn't quite warm enough, but not cold. Breakfast was delicious, but rather than having a hot buffet selection, they brought out the hot food to order, which I preferred as it tasted freshly cooked and warm. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, and were welcomed by a lovely lady on reception, and the location was ideal, being in the town. There's no on-site parking, but we parked nearby in the cricket club car park that was only £2 overnight."
"£200 for a basic room for one night was a bit on the pricey side for me, however it was nice all the same. A few of the photos of the basic room are misleading. The photos show a four post double bed which is not the case. We found out later this is actually an executive room despite it being labeled basic.
We found out that the hotel location is accessible by bus from Oxenholme train station (despite being told the opposite) and has a great view of beautiful fields. Food in the hotel is good but expensive... My eyes nearly popped out their sockets when I saw the £8.00 charge just for the tiniest amount of table bread. I'd say this was probably the reason the restaurant was empty despite being told we need to book a table due to its popularity. Swimming pool and steam room are average for the price.
Staff are friendly and changed our room to a double bed room free of charge after mistakenly putting us in a twin bedroom."
"The location of the hotel is easy to find. The town of Kendall is quiet and not far from the Lake District. Health is ok. It's a bit like a domestic fast chain hotel."
"The store owner discriminated against Chinese people. They arranged a basement for us. There was no elevator and they didn't ask us if we needed help with the luggage. The most important thing was that there was a staircase next to our room. If someone went up and down the stairs, the noise was very loud! The curtains were not light-proof and leaked out from the sides. We could see inside our room from the side of the window. We had to use the kettle and bath towel in the room to wipe the curtains and hold them down, otherwise there would be no privacy! There was no view outside the window, three walls and a staircase."
