"Good hotel and location. Having been asked which slot for breakfast, quite a few items were unavailable in that slot and weren't replenished such as bacon and fruit. Staff did offer something else when asked but there wasn't anything else we wanted."
"Guy at reception was helpful in getting three rooms near one another. Sorted out a problem with the rooms TV swiftly. Ordered food to the room late when the restaurant was quiet and it was excellent. Breakfast was great, everything well stocked and clean. They let us bring our dogs - booked online and then phoned the hotel directly to book in two dogs. £20 extra"
"All of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly during my stay which added to the experience. The hotel is truly lovely and the setting is beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the views from the rooms and bar were amazing but it’s the high level of customer service that makes me want to return and recommend this hotel as a place to stay in Wakefield."
"Second visit to this hotel. Super nice for the price. Staff helpful and friendly. Room is basic yet sufficient. 15 mins walk to off licence for all daily utilities. 30 mins walk to town centre. WiFi superb, never stops working or slow. Very nice for business travellers or a small retreat. No for an enjoyable holiday though."
"The pub and the room themselves are lovely.
We were served by a man behind the bar who greeted us with ‘what’s the name?’ He then couldn’t find the booking as he didn’t have the correct apps from which we booked through…continued to say we wasn’t booked even though proof of booking was given.
His approach changed as soon as he realised he was in the wrong, showed us to the room where we found it wasn’t what I had payed for. I booked a king size bed with two singles, was given a room with just two singles. The bathroom had hairs everywhere and hardly any toilet roll. Obviously hadn’t been cleaned and replenished. When we returned back to the room later on in the evening the room was extremely warm, tried to adjust the heating where we discovered it was only able to be changed by the bar downstairs. The bar closed at 10pm to which afterwards there was no staff on the premises. Either be too hot or open the window and have the loud noises from a main road. Couldn’t win either way.
As mentioned very nicely decorated rooms but issues throughout."
You're just a hop, skip and a jump away from world-class art, a buzzing nightlife and key business destinations at the Premier Inn Hotel Wakefield City North. Work up a sweat or unwind with a massage at Bannatyne's Health Club. Mull over modern art at the Hepworth Museum. After a busy day, head back for a bite in our tasty restaurant and a great night's sleep in your extra-comfy bed.
"Excellent hotel the staff were helpful and attentive. Very clean room with air conditioning which was needed as it was a very hot day, with tea making facilities and even biscuits as a kind gesture. Would recommend staying here and will no doubt book in again. Bar had a range of beers and a good selection of draughts as well as spirits available to choose from. There was ample parking round the back of the hotel. Just don't forget to put your vehicle registration at check in.
All in all a good stay."
