Hotel Ashoka was our pick when we were doing our initial screening of hotel selections and truly it did not let us down. We had booked a family room with Balcony. The room was very spacious with 2 double beds enough to easily accommodate 4 people. Hot water was available 24*7 thanks to geyser. The water cooler was also available at arms length because of which we didn't have to buy a bottle of water. The only thing which lacked in our room was a mini fridge. Coming to the food, the breakfast was really tasty with vegetarian south indian spread. Chutneys will not let you down. Tea and coffee and a sweet was nice. We also had dinner on one day and dal tadka, jeera rice and aloo mgobi sabji didnt let us down. Overall a good hotel with very close proximity to the north gate of Ramanathaswamy temple. (3min walk)

The hotel was good for families. However the ac in one room was not working well. The staff was polite and helpful and the food was good too. Rooms are clean and spacious. Overall stay was good and peaceful

Only looks good from outside with lights. When we arrived none there to pick bags. None at reception. Took a while for them to figure out how should they react and who should act. Rooms are getting old or in right words not well maintained. Housekeeping: Ask for extra blanket and they say they charge ₹400 (not bed only blanket). Yes extra charge for extra blanket, towel. Plus additional charge is stained during stay. Restaurant is small which accommodates in house as well outside guests. Ask for room service and high possibility you will hear only excuses not the order. In one liner Overall Lack of adequate staff, lack of service quality and lack of professionalism. Good thing is they have adequate place for drivers stay and rest room. Location is good on the main road and nearer to temple.

Vinayaga is one of the best hotels in Rameshwaram. Room services are quick, Easy to talk to and will make sure you experience luxury. For Food it is a delight with their multi cuisine availability. The north indian food we had was a treat we can only find in Vinayaga that reminds me of home. Kali Dass, the restaurant incharge took the charge himself, to make us the most luxurious visit we can have. Even the reception was super cooperative and will try its best to meet your demands. So, overall its a 5 star for me, had the most welcoming, luxurious and comfortable stay, i could ask for.

It was a good stay. Rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only problem we faced was the service at breakfast. We did not get most if what was ordered at the live counter. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. The food was also a little overpriced for being vegetarian.

The experience was excellent. The location of the resort is superb with a nice beach view. Even the temple is very close to the resort (approx 950m. Rooms are very neat and spacious. View from the balcony is superb. Further the food quality is delicious and the staff in charge for the restaurant service shri babu behera was very cooperative and helpful. Even the remaining staff are very nice.

They have only rooms available and no restaurant so you have to find places to eat. Also they just provide soap and no other things ex toothbrush/shampoo etc. Also there is no complimentary water bottle provided. This place is in budget and with good car parking. Very close to rameshwaram temple that we visited twice during our stay. The rooms are just ok ( type of lodge and not hotel. The bathroom is also very old type of fittings with rusting. It ok for people who want to stay in okok property with minimum spending.

This hotel is situated just opposite to South entrance of the temple. Opposite to South entrance you will see a narrow path. Enter it and turn right. At about 50 metres, you will reach this hotel. Just keep in mind - this route is only for a mid sized cab or car. Very very narrow path. Contact number - 73737-37027 Rooms - good and well furnished. Neat Front desk - very good approach Cost of the rooms - reasonable Restaurant - not available. You have to walk near the south entrance of the temple for a decent, home made South Indian food hotel. Parking space - just look for a better parking valet to park your cars. Ask the reception people they will guide you. (only 2 cars can be kept in the basement parking lot which is very narrow). Distance from the temple and sea - very very near. Over all rating - 4.2 / 5.0

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel was adjacent to the east gate which was very advantageous for changing clothes after getting drenched in the holy wells. Also the agnitirtham was very close to the hotel. Though vehicle was not allowed upto the hotel as it is very near to the temple gate yet the hotel arranged for pickup and drop in rickshaw. The hotel rooms are very grand and the restaurant food is also delicious. Overall we had a pleasant stay in rs n international and i will definitely recommend this hotel for everyone.

Many residency is situated in Rameswaram nearby Railway station. Hotel is located within the busy market and everything is available nearby. Ramanathaswamy Main temple is walking (100-200 mtrs max). We reached around 12pm and room was given in no time and to my surprise room was clean byond expectations. I think either it was a new room or renovated, whatever, is the case cleanliness was top. Elevator is available. Amenities are ok and AC is superb, they do not have much options for room service and it is not needed either. Get down from the hotel and everything is available. Towel, bedsheets and everything was super clean. Room was big enough. If I come back to Rameswaram, will stay at this property.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a newly build property. Very near to agneetirtham ( 100 meters ) and approx 400 metres from rameshwaram temple east gate entry. Very clean and modern rooms. Clean washrooms, very comfortable bed. Well air conditioning. One can relax after getting tired from his long trip. Very polite staff. Little costlier but worth it.

Please do yourself a favor and AVOID this hotel at all costs. Due to the last weekend being a long weekend, they charged exorbitant rates...Rs 7000/month and they didnt even provide a bill for that. The room was dirty!!! It was no cleaned at all. The floor was muddy, there was hair and sticky stains where the previous guests must have spilled something and the bed was no made. And it does not end here, there were COCKROACHES running all around the room and one was on the mattress too. When we showed it to the room cleaning guy he said rather proudly that he has seen more in other rooms. They have a very sad excuse for the complimentary breakfast which was fully ready post 8:30 am when they were supposed to have started at 8.. The manager was rude! This place is not worth Rs 1500 even and they are fleecing tourists

We had booked based on good ratings of 4+. Unfortunately, missed out on the detailed review comments. Also one of the picture uploaded in Trip Advisor was misleading and not related to the hotel. The original pics of the hotel is from years back and do not expect it to look the same now. Based on our stay, it's pretty evident that the location 5 star given by other users for the fact that it was close to beach and temple, and not for it being easily accessible by car. I was worried that my car will get stuck between the walls of the small path leading to the hotel. You have to be very careful to not damage your car just by trying to reach the hotel. The food is only North Indian based. It was very difficult for me to adjust with the food (I am from Kerala). The room is quite old, and had a damp smell of lotion. The fridge was not working and the telephone did not even have a cord connected to it. The plug point was was damaged and was unable to charge my phone. Ultimately had to unplug the TV and use that port. Overall a pretty bad experience. Will not be booking this hotel again. Hotel Rameshwaram Grand looks a better option as it was easily accessible and the restaurant was pretty good. (Do not know about room quality, but the hotel looks pretty good from the outside - we just went there for having some non-veg food in the restaurant)
