Find the Cheap Hornafjordur Hotels

We just spent a night at the hotel and it was an amazing experience. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, the hotel itself is beautiful and the outdoor spa was incredible. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had in Iceland. After dinner we went down to the bar for a couple of cocktails which were made by the nicest bartender and they were so good. We had breakfast in the morning and the variety of food was overwhelmingly good, there was something for everyone, and so many different delicious cakes. We chose this hotel because of how close it is to the glacier lagoon, it’s a short 5 min drive and then you arrive at one of the most beautiful places in Iceland. If you are going to Iceland you cannot miss the glacier lagoon, and I can only recommend you combine it with this hotel.

Because I made an appointment to see the ice cave the next day, I found that it was only 46 kilometers away from the meeting point. Although I had to go back, the price was the most cost-effective, so I booked it. We didn’t arrive at Glacier Lagoon until 10 o’clock in the evening. After taking pictures, we arrived at the hotel at 11:30. I discovered that there is a large glacier behind the hotel. You can completely see it from the window of the room. When you were lying on the bed, you also found that there was a skylight on the roof. You could see it while lying on the bed. See the stars and auroras! The space is indeed a bit small (a common phenomenon in Icelandic hotels!), but despite its small size, it was fully equipped and we made dinner in the room. There is floor heating in the bathroom, which is very nice👍

Had a great stay - spacious, clean room with lots of luggage storage, modern bathroom and an awesome view of a horse pasture outside our window. Quiet room and nice room darkening curtains. Plenty of parking and a nice breakfast included. Recommend this hotel if passing through.

250€ a night and the rooms are completely HORRIBLE, small, depressing, smells, awful shower, just the worst one in Iceland. The food at the restaurant is overpriced and gross. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was so dark and dingy. Staff at breakfast is hostile by the way, be careful.. Hotel Geysir charges 70€ more than this place and you get to experience luxury and premium accomodation. While Hotel Höfn would not even rank as a roadside MOTEL in my experience. Charging almost the same price of a premium hotel when really this place should be no more than 150€ a night. These people need to get down to earth, their hotel ain't all that. Stay somewhere else if you can...

The Old Airline Guesthouse is an extremely nice guesthouse at a great value. It is situated strategically between two of Iceland most majestic sites, the Vatnajökull Glacier/Iceberg Lagoon and Hvalnes Nature Reserve. The Old Airline Guesthouse owner and host Sigga was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I had a small but awesome room with a view overlooking the Hofn bay area. Patrons can also enjoy a similar view in the upstairs common area. Local shops and restaurants are within walking distance. A continental breakfast is included in your stay. Being a guesthouse you do share a bathroom, other than that the Old Airline Guesthouse is truly a gem worth staying.

Advantages: clean and hygienic. Good location, close to the lobster shop. Disadvantages: The room is small, the most amazing thing is that the curtains are only 20cm long. We just lived on the first floor, a short curtain, and the clothes could not be changed. Iceland is so long every day, how do people sleep? I didn’t care if I called the boss, but I later negotiated through Ctrip. But the curtain problem still can't be solved. The door lock of the bath is also bad. You can only ask your friends to look outside when taking a shower. I chose this house for a long time, and I was speechless to myself.

Great location with sea/mountain views on one side and harbour views on the other. Rooms appear recently refurbished. Lots of parking and within walking distance of Hofn restaurants (we went to Pizzeria). Bar area in reception with outside patio terrace seating. Great breakfast with hot and cold buffet. No lift to first floor but luggage assistance offered.

The location is spectacular, off the main road with views of the mountains. Evening meal was ok, breakfast was acceptable. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. The highlight was seeing the aurora, its remote positioning meant that we had perfect views of the phenomena.

The room is small but the kitchen and toilet are good. The view around the hostel is good, but there are many horse shit around the hostel.
