Find the Cheap Santa Teresa di Riva Hotels

We visited this hotel on a Saga package deal. We were very disappointed with both the hotel and the area. Whilst the room was spacious and the bathroom was clean, with a large walk-in shower, the air conditioning (not controlled within the room), was hit and miss, with a tendency to either go off in the middle of the night, or dip to arctic temperatures. It would have been nice to sleep with the balcony doors open, but the noise from the road and the karaoke parties across the road (going on until 2.30 in the morning), prevented this. The outside seating area was extremely shabby, with broken and dangerous rattan furniture. The food in the evening was generally good, but had to be ordered 24 hours in advance. The pool was decent, but was taken over by weekenders for 3 days, so we couldn’t get near. The staff would help, if asked, and the evening bar person was very friendly. One member of staff got our goat, as she would clamp a mask over her face whenever one of our party (all British) spoke to her on Reception. Please note, she did not do this when speaking to other guests. The area itself had nothing to recommend it. No little restaurants, shops (apart from a Supermarket and 2 shoe shops) and nothing of interest to look at and explore. Many building and houses had been left to ruin and there were ‘for sale’ signs everywhere. Wouldn’t go back, and the experience has also made us very wary of booking with Saga again.

Worst hotel ever! This hotel is a joke. A very bad joke. If you want to waste your hard earned money and ruin your family vacation then this is the place to be, look no further. But if you want to have a nice place to stay and have a good vacation please stay away this place This ”hotel” is something left behind by a long gone era but ín 2023 it is definitely an absurd very bad joke, not a three Star hotel. The building itself is an old rundown place with very old, broken furniture, not functioning air condition and plumbing system. The air conditioner was at least 20 years old, making loud noise without any cooling effect. A real piece of junk. There was no adequate water pressure so showering was a challenge except you enjoy showering ín cold water only. But the hotel' s main ”attraction” was the restaurant. Now this is the most horrid place I have ever been. The food was terrible, impossible to eat, the portions were ridicoulosly small and the waiters were from a long gone Era As well. They were chatting all the time instead of working so we always had to wait forever to get our disgusting meal, which we couldn't eat anyway. We left the restaurant with an empty stomach on most days. All ín all Hotel San Pietro ín Letojanni should be closed forever or at least downgraded to a One-Star hotel levél. Please stay away if you want good for yourself and your family!

We loved our stay at the Olimpo! And chose to seek out and enjoy every moment. We paid extra for a sea view and room 5356 certainly delivered! It was an amazing view and one we won’t forget. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels by lovely cleaning staff. We enjoyed the main pool at the top and loved the Sunbed situation. No towels down as pool opens at 9am. When you go to lunch you take your towels and leave the beds or prepare to be ousted. After/during lunch the pool is quite so very easy to get beds. Of course it becomes busier 2pm onwards and closes promptly at 6. Again no real issue with this as some others have complained about. Restaurant food and white wine was decent, in fact the pasta was delicious some nights. Great choice of meat, pasta and vegetarian. And the most delicious pistachio ice cram most days. Yes it was crazy busy and yes you do need to keep your wits about you amongst the Italian holidaymakers who know what they want and when they want it. They are on their holiday too so why not. I loved the mix up of the hotel which was predominantly Italian and very few British. It was great to watch them having fun in the fun and singing their well known songs. The glass lift was different and my kids loved it - how else to get to the top of a mountain! But yes it does need aircon! Letojanni itself was lovely - our favourite place was the piazza to have a pina colada and people watch whilst listening to funky music. We were there over a bank holiday and it was a whole vibe! Definitely go to the welcome meeting as we picked up loads of tips re buses and visiting Taormina etc. We booked our mount etna trip and alcantara gorges through jet 2 it was an amazing and unforgettable experience for our family.

Disappointing to say the least :( we was looking forward to this visit, and straight of the bat was let down, the place is so run down and old, definitely need a refurb tried not to let this ruin our stay as we had seen photos and other reviews so was aware just not to this extent. anyway! we was in the main hotel on level 1, map given was very confusing at first, told us the times of food eating hours and where they would be, tell me why every day it took us a 15 minute journey to get from our hotel to the dining hall? we had to go to a completely different building at the top of the mountain for every single meal by the out door life which took forever and was so hot it was unpleasant. there was occasionally food in the same building we was staying but it was manager’s option if it was open or not so you are running around to see if the one closer to you is open to realise it isn’t and have to go the other, (it was open once in 7 days for us). we ate out most days despite paying all inclusive as the food was horrendous most days, the drinks were terrible and you had to do it your self, no service at all but! we got speaking to this family and they said when they arrived the first few days there was service and there was bar men making drinks !! so why did this change? we have no idea but none of the drinks was the “real” brands they said they were, coca cola etc. again pool situation same again 15 minute journey, yes there is 2 pools on each divide of hotel but the side we was on the pool was tiny and full of kids and right next to the kids club so was just full of kids not being watched by there parents. strange one , had to pay 5 euros per day, per person, to use the pools???? this on really confused me !! in all honesty there’s probably much worse i can say but at this point im bored and gutted that this hotel was so rubbish
