"Advantages
1. There is a chargeable washing machine, the room has a private bathroom
2. The living function is not bad, there are hypermarkets and convenience stores not far away
3. The location is suitable for the needs of passengers everywhere
Disadvantages
1, may not be able to buy breakfast
2, the room is small"
"Big bath with sauna and cold water pool, outdoor area to cool off. Staying overnight in a big tatami room with view to the central fish pond. Relaxing even during roof renovation phase."
"The ryokan is located very near the Vine bridge but is quite old looking.
The dinner and breakfast are super delicious and is the Japanese style with many small dishes.
It was the accommodation with the best dining options throughout my 19 days travel in japan.
There is a bathhouse in the ryokan which guests can use.
The rooms are all located on the 2nd or 3rd floor, together with the toilet and shower.
Room was huge with tatami and can fit in at least 4 person.
We were allowed to bring our bikes into the room but we laid them on some cloth to prevent the dirtying of the flooring.
Good value for money"
"Charmant hôtel avec de nombreuses chambres et un personnel accueillant et sympathique. Chambres légèrement vieillottes mais c'est bien. Salle de bain et WC dans la chambre. Climatisation et chauffage, TV et Wifi. Attention le Onsen et le sauna sont interdits aux personnes tatouées."
"It is best to check the navigation route when walking to Avan Hotel from Sukumo Station. The parking lot under the elevated road will go around a long way. The hotel also provides a welcome drink upon check-in, which is very good.
The hotel room is very quiet and clean, and the staff are very nice"
"The hotel was established in 1950 and has a nostalgic feel. Google Maps says there is a 24-hour Yoshinoya across from the entrance to the ”busiest area”. The busiest area was not busy at all and many shops were closed. The hotel rooms are relatively large and well-lit. The breakfast is a traditional Japanese set meal. There are ample parking spaces and the lobby receptionist is polite."
