"The hotel boasts an incredibly convenient location, right next to JR Akita Station, making it super easy to get around and explore other areas. While the room wasn't huge, its practical layout made it perfectly sufficient for our family trip, even allowing us to comfortably open two suitcases. The hotel staff were all incredibly polite, and the service was excellent. The breakfast was truly delicious – I highly recommend adding it to your reservation! You'll get to taste rice balls made from Akita-produced rice, along with a variety of other local Akita specialty dishes."
"This hotel is right next to a underground rock concert shop. It has frequent tenants who played there or attend the concerts there. If you are driving , you won’t be able to get their parking slots as it mostly reserved for the regulars. The nearby parking lots charges 400 Y from 4pm-8am so if you arrive shortly after check in time and decide to head out early the next day, you may use the 2 carparks that is right beside the hotel. If you can’t make it in time, the hotel cheapest parking option is behind Lawson where they have monthly season parking lots. It’s 600 yen per night from 3pm to 10am.
room wise, price to value is below average probably becos of high demand in the vicinity. As for cleanliness, can be better improve. My aircon filter and air filter machine was producing really moldy and smell air , probably from previous guests who sweated in the room. Was a big turn off lucky I came during autumn, can just open the window to get cold air in."
"The hotel is easily accessible from JR Akita Station West Exit, just a short walk across the street via a covered walkway. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located on the ground floor, and the Akita Museum of Art is just a short stroll further, making its location excellent. The hotel is new and impeccably clean. The bathrooms are quite spacious, though with the excellent large public bath (onsen/daiyokujo) available, we didn't bother using the in-room shower. The on-site laundry facilities were very convenient. Breakfast offers a fantastic selection, with an abundant spread of both Western and Japanese dishes, far surpassing what you'd expect from hotels in the same category. Nearby, there's a restaurant called Honke Abeya, renowned for its Akita Hinai chicken – a local specialty that comes highly recommended. Highly recommended!"
"It is an old hotel opposite of ANA Crowne hotel. The location is great nearby the train station as well as the bus terminal.
Very near to shopping area as well as restaurants. There is a big Lawson nearby where they carry a lot of things in this store.
The only thing is that upon arrival the centralised aircon was set on warm mode that we can not changed. Luckily the window can be opened."
"The location is very convenient, right next to JR Akita Station, close to the city’s tourist attractions. It‘s great that the hotel has a gym, and the restaurant on the top floor also has local characteristics, good service, and delicious food. But for some reason, the door of my room could not be closed normally, which made me very confused."
"The hotel facility is relatively good. However, the hotel policy seems to have a big problem.
We checked in the hotel at 7pm, they said our room rate was for check-in between 23:30~05:00 and that check-in other than this period will have a surcharge of
Yen $2000. At normal hotel booking, who would alert the check-in time is at midnight??!! OK, we assume we overlook this strange rule, we paid.
However, two days later we stay at the same brand hotel in Aomori, I clearly requested a non-smoking room at booking (as I did same for all hotels at the trip),
but the receptionist insisted that we didn't. They said they don't have a non-smoking room for us unless we pay Yen $2000 for additional charge. We don't
understand the game! Supposing all non-smoking rooms are at the non-smoking floor; if they have one, they should have given us free. If not, how can they
make one with the additional charge ?"
"The hotel has a very good location. Although not immediately next to the JR station, it's a short and easy walk to get to the hotel from Akita Station. When you see the Museum of Art in the photo, you are arriving. Also, the famous Senshū Park is just across from the street.
It's a grand hotel with nice rooms. The staff are friendly and professional.
It's not far from the bar district. There are many interesting bars over there. After a couple of drinks, you can just walk back to the hotel."
"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, which made my stay even more relaxing. The facilities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and inviting. I truly appreciated the excellent service and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I look forward to staying here again in the future!"

"We booked Toyoko Inn for a five-day pass to travel around Tohoku, Aomori, Hirosaki, etc. On April 24, we stayed in Akita again. Toyoko Inn is worth recommending again. The hotel is connected to Akita Station by a sky bridge and elevator on the second floor, which makes it very convenient to get in and out. It saves time and effort. Breakfast is provided, which uses local ingredients and is quite unique and delicious, such as Akita rice, pickled radish, and hot spring eggs. These days of travel are the most unforgettable. I will definitely stay there again if I have the chance."
