Having travelled in amd around Akita for 10 days, this ryokan was our final night stay before 6 of us travel to Narita for flight home. We had merely wanted a traditional stay experience with a morning soak in onsen before we board the shinkasen from Akita JR station - a mere 30 min drive from ryokan. But we received more than we sought! We hah had the healthiest and delicious home-cooked dinner and breakfast, and wonderful outdoor onsen reserved for guests only. And.....all of us didnt realise until we got home in Singapore that the ryokan had cleansed our very muddy shoes squeaky clean! Wow, such amazing service certainly deepened our memories of Akita!
It is a little far from Omagari station, but it was possible to use it without any problems because it was a rental car. Parking fee was free and I was grateful. There is a restaurant, and if you order a meal only for guests, you can have a drink service. The lineup of sake is made from Akita Prefecture. There are Western dishes in addition to Japanese food including local foods. I had a Western restaurant ginger grilled, but it was very delicious and very satisfying. For breakfast, you can choose Japanese or Western food, and you can serve it on a plate. I had egg-cake rice with raw eggs of Hinai chicken.
It is not far from the jr station. It is more convenient for men to stay in the hotel (public bathhouses are male-only and there are many smoking floors). The overall is good. The lobby provides a variety of toiletries and a microwave ice machine. The small cafeteria on the first floor is quite good, and the breakfast at 590 yen is very cost-effective.

The vacant room was the last, so I stayed in a smoking room, and I was hit by the smell of cigarettes that I couldn't judge calmly.
The public bath and the Rix room were not special, but they were able to get tired.
The room was not large but clean
I can see the tracks and invite you to travel.
Breakfast buffet is standard quality of business hotel
Impressive that the staff lady gave me a rice.
As its name suggests, this hotel is located on the riverside and it takes a while to walk from Daqu Station. It is an old hotel and the room is clean and tidy. The counter is not very English, but very kind and the service is very good. There is a large supermarket about 7 minutes walk from the hotel. We stayed in mid-August, but unfortunately we couldn't participate in the Daqu Flower Spark Festival at the end of August. The hotel should be difficult to book that night. Attach a photo of the hotel taken by the riverside.
Okuma will only be active during the fireworks festival. I stayed as a relay point to visit Kakukan, but the whole town was working hard. Among them, the cherry blossom shop next to the hotel and the hotel restaurant were working hard. The room composition was a bit luxurious for a business hotel. The bathroom is separate and the curtain is pulled to allow you to have a temporary change room. Especially breakfast seemed to taste the local taste. Coffee is also mini, but I enjoyed it.
Sun R offers accommodations in Rokugō, 27 miles from Lake Tazawa. The property is around 11 miles from Omagari Station, 14 miles from Kakunodate Station, and 24 miles from Tazawako Station. The ryokan provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking, and free Wifi.
At the ryokan, each unit is equipped with a desk, a flat-screen TV, a shared bathroom, bed linen, and towels. A fridge and kettle are also provided. The rooms are equipped with heating facilities.
Akita Airport is 33 miles away.
A resort with an outside bath located on top of the hill viewing vast surroundings. The views which guests can see from the bath are something one can never forget.
