Cheap even with non-smoking, large communal bath and full service with breakfast. It costs less than 10,000 yen for two double people. Moreover, you can get a free ticket for the affiliated hot spring facilities (when applying for the original HP). It's a deadline, but it's about two months, so it's enough. You can also use facilities that exceed 1,000 yen such as Hanayu no Mori for free. Personally, I think Hanayu Spa Resort is good. The sauna is also very nice. Although it is in a remote place, there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in the area. I like to drive and buy and spend time in my room. Of course, while enjoying the hot springs at night, in the morning and in the hot springs. It is often quite full, probably because it is conveniently located for sightseeing in the direction of Chichibu Nagashima and shopping in the direction of Fukaya. I'm asking you that there will be a No. 2 store in Hanazono nearby, but I would like to ask you. Speaking of greed, please expand more in the direction of Chichibu. I don't think Chichibu is catching up with the demand for accommodation (route-in is too bullish 😅). ◾️ Good points Cheap Beautiful Amenity abundant (self-made) Free drinks (coffee), free chocolate Breakfast is also rich The western room has a good view such as the mountains of Chichibu Chichibu, Naga , Good access to Fukaya area ◾️ Bad points Too popular? Difficult to make a reservation No bacon Far from the station
4 Senior backpackers in Japan ”stumbled” onto this gem of a Japanese inn next to the Arakawa River. Less than 10 minute walk from the Kami-Nagatoro station and 10 minute walk to Nagatoro Station. We chose location due to proximity to river and start of river boat downstream river ride-sites. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality shown throughout our two-day stay. We were late in coming out of the mountains of Gunma prefecture (2 hour plus train ride away) and called the inn to notify and were subsequently told that this was no problem for check-in and supper. Fortunately we made up time lost and got to the inn earlier that expected and enjoyed the serene tree-lined river and men's and women's communal furo (shower/bath also in rooms) with outdoor views before dining. Then...we were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the dinner! A real treat to get a 7+ course Japanese meal featuring the specialty vegetables and protein of the region! Upon departure we chose to walk with packs back to Kami-Nagatoro Station, along the river, but the proprietor had the Inn van ready and waiting to take us to the train station. The included breakfast's were also multi-course Japanese style, with regional specialties.
Granted, the hotel is somewhat time-worn, probably seeing its zenith in the 80's and 90's but all the facilities were cleaning, usable and safe. All staff went made a great effort to ensure that we were enjoying the locale and the Inn. This location, in our opinion is much more serene and ”touristy” than the main area surrounding Nagatoro station but is only 10 minutes walking from that action. If opportunity arises, we will return. The Saitama Museum of Natural is just across the street but this large and modern facility was not open on our late arrival and on Monday. We left on Tuesday morning, but wanted to visit this place also.
One building is rented and limited to one group per day so you can enjoy your free time slowly
There is no resident staff Staff will visit the facility only during checkin and out
Only customers can enjoy it without hesitation
Small children are welcome You can use it without any worries

It was my first trip to this inn since the pandemic. Since the dates included weekdays during Golden Week 2022, I was able to make an online reservation from the website even the day before the stay. The room was a twin room with a bathroom and toilet, and we added a futon to the raised floor to stay there for three people, my husband and my child, for one night. The twin room was spacious, so even though there were three of us, it didn't feel cramped and was comfortable. The windows were large, and I was able to relax and enjoy the early summer greenery of the nearby mountains. To be honest, the view was comparable to the view from the window of the inn in Shiobara Onsen, Tochigi, where I stayed a few years ago, and I thought that if you want to be soothed by the fresh greenery, you can be satisfied even if it's close by. I had been checking out this inn for day trips since before the pandemic, but there were students taking exams there, so I couldn't go out easily, and I was finally able to go on a trip after the exams were over and I had received three doses of the vaccine. I also stayed here and was featured on TV Tokyo's Recharge Trip this spring. - Trip Itinerary - [Day 1] Take the Seibu Railway Laview Express to Seibu-Chichibu Station (Excited to be riding the new 2019 carriages for the first time) <Hitsujiyama Park> From Seibu-Chichibu Station, walk (about 20 minutes) to the Moss Phlox Hill in Hitsujiyama Park. Although the best time to see the moss phlox had passed as it was now May, there were still slopes where it was still beautifully in bloom and plenty of room to enjoy it. For lunch, enjoy local foods such as ”Mountain vegetable tempura” and ”Bamboo shoot rice” at the stalls at the Moss Phlox Festival. (Standard food stall menu items such as yakisoba, fried chicken, and udon are also available) <Chichibu Shrine> From Hitsujiyama Park, walk through Chichibu City to Chichibu Shrine <Nagatoro> Take the train from Chichibu Railway ”Chichibu Station” and get off at ”Kami-Nagatoro Station”. 5-minute walk ・Saitama Prefectural Museum of Natural History [Admission Fee: 200 yen for adults] ・Nagatoro Rock Formation <Kanpo no Yado Yorii> Take the train from Chichibu Railway ”Nagatoro Station” and get off at ”Yorii Station”. Take the hotel's shuttle bus from Yorii Station. [Day 2] <Moomin Valley Park> Take the hotel's shuttle to Yorii Station. From JR Hachiko Line ”Yorii Station”, go through Koma-gawa Station and Higashi-Hanno Station, and get off at Seibu Ikebukuro Line ”Hanno Station”. From ”Hanno Station”, take the local bus [fare 200 yen] for 12 minutes to Moomin Valley Park inside Metsa. Moomin Valley Park: 1-day pass for adults is 3,200 yen. Tickets can be reserved in advance when it is crowded. The day we went was a weekday during Golden Week, so we were able to purchase tickets at the entrance on the day. Being a weekday during Golden Week, there weren't too many people around, and it was just the right amount, so we were able to enjoy the theme park to the fullest. It was unfortunate that the weather was intermittent rain, but there were indoor facilities, and when the sun shone through on a clear day after the rain, the surface of Lake Miyazawa sparkled, which was very beautiful. The Moomin family mascots periodically appeared in the photo-taking area within the park, so we were able to take photos, which was exciting. [Returning] We took a local bus to Hanno Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, and then took the Laview Express from Hanno Station to return home.
Drinks (coffee, juice) were served at the lobby lounge before check-in. There are many beautiful pots, paintings, statues of Daikoku, photographs, etc. in the hall, and you will not get tired even if you walk around the hall. The room was an ordinary rectangular Japanese-style room because my spouse had reserved a room for some reason. The sweets in the room are Kurisuke, a Japanese confectionery directly managed by Wado, and delicious chestnut buns. The hot spring in the bath is a good hot spring (mineral spring) that smells of sulfur. It is said that the local people used this mineral spring for eye drops and cuts, and it was written in the Fudoki edited by the Edo Shogunate that it was the oldest hot spring in Chichibu, Yakushi-no-Yu. Dinner was served in the room. The local sake (nigori) was reasonably priced at 1100 yen for 300cc. Dinner was a variety of dishes using local Chichibu local cuisine and local products. The amount and number of items were so large that I could not finish eating them. I thought it would be good for young people and people who eat a lot (three kinds of meat dishes). Breakfast was a Japanese set menu. The side dishes were good, but the rice was hard and not good. Coffee, milk, etc., natto, yogurt, etc. were buffet style. After-meal coffee could be taken out to the room. I felt that the hospitality was also good.
This century-old hotel is just next to the river. The scenery is like a painting. It is very difficult to get there. Although the hotel is undergoing some new projects, the breakfast and dinner are good. There is also a pedestrian street selling authentic products near the hotel. There is time to buy tickets near the station, there is a special car to pick up the boat to enjoy the scenery along the river, the boat and Cheng Dawei fifteen minutes, the stop is the hotel, a good choice.
