"Although the hotel facilities are a bit old, it's very clean. The room is incredibly spacious with an unbeatable view; you open the window and there's the sea. Sleeping at night with the sound of the waves is really charming, but if it's too noisy, you can use earplugs. There's a free public onsen on the rooftop with a front-row sea view, which is absolutely beautiful! They also have private onsen available for an extra charge. The public onsen is well-equipped with hair dryers, cotton swabs, and skincare products. Mineral water isn't provided in the room, but you can buy it from a vending machine. If you need to go to the station, the hotel can arrange a shuttle service, but you need to book in advance. However, walking along the path offers beautiful scenery, and I recommend walking if the weather is good; it's only a 10-minute walk to the station (it's a bit uphill to the station, which can be tiring). There aren't many restaurants nearby, but the ones that are there are quite good. It offers excellent value for money, and I'll definitely come back for a longer stay next time!"
"We had an amazing 1 night stay at Shizentenyu... i'm still dreaming about the view from our room and the restaurant... amazing!!! We didn't realize that our room included a full 7-course set dinner menu, which was one of the highlights from our trip! The service was impecable, food delicious, and a huge thank-you to Alfie who guided us through our set menu in English. We would have been very confused without him. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, the Onsen lovely, we appreciated the lounge with free coffee, tea, beer, and popsicles. We also braved the steep walk down to the private beach and went for a refreshing swim! We wish we could have stayed longer!"
"The room was spacious and faced the ocean. I fell asleep and woke up to the sound of waves every day. The staff at the hotel and the nearby FamilyMart were all incredibly friendly. The night before check-out, I realized I was missing a key. I thought it might have been left at FamilyMart but was prepared to pay for a replacement. When I mentioned it to the front desk staff during check-out, I was immediately told that FamilyMart had contacted them and the key had already been returned. It was a very heartwarming stay, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Izu!"
"The sea view is unbeatable, and it's a 5-6 minute walk from the station. They offer a shuttle service to the station upon checkout, by appointment. A centipede ran into my room... but they changed my room when I requested it, which was fine. I stayed for three days, and the breakfast was decent. The service was typical Japanese, meaning you couldn't really find any fault with it. The biggest surprise was on the day of checkout: there was a huge typhoon in Izu, all trains were stopped. While we were feeling helpless at the station, a hotel front desk staff member arrived! They told us that because we had previously booked a shuttle, they were taking us to the larger Izu-Kogen station! I was so touched! That's truly Japanese service, solving an urgent problem! Overall, it was really good!"
"The entire hotel has only 7 bedrooms, each with a private bath and facing the sea.
The hotel environment is designed in Japanese style, clean and the rooms are large.
Breakfast and dinner are eaten in a room in the basement, which also has 7 rooms, so each bedroom is equipped with a dining room, which provides a high degree of privacy.
The hotel staff are very friendly and smiling. When we arrived at the hotel, 3 people came to greet us, and when we left, 3 people came to see us off. The service was very thoughtful.
All in all, the stay was great!"
"A really nice resort hotel. The room was spacious, and the private onsen bath was very clean. The peculiar smell was likely from the tatami mats. We had the hotel's set menu for breakfast but didn't have dinner at the hotel. The supermarket next to Izu Kogen Station offers abundant sashimi, enough to eat your fill. The photos show the places we visited during our stay, and it was all very relaxing.
Having seen some less favorable reviews, let me share my own experience. The hotel's occupancy is highly seasonal, so there might not be many staff members, but they all provided attentive service. During our stay, the station pick-up and drop-off service was always well-arranged. When I'm on vacation, I prefer to relax and not be disturbed, so I opted out of daily room cleaning. I've stayed at some older Japanese-style hotels, similar to those in areas like Shikoku's Oboke, and this level of service is pretty typical. Of course, perhaps I just haven't visited enough Japanese resort hotels to generalize.
Overall, I highly recommend staying here. Don't set your expectations too high, but it delivers on all the essentials for a relaxing getaway."
"We had a delicious and fun time with the family.
The private beach was also wonderful. If it was summer swimming season, the waves would be calm and it would be easy for children to play there.
It was the last weekend of March during spring break, but the hotel was well thought out and didn't feel crowded, which was nice.
The freshly fried tempura in the dining area and the fried bread for breakfast were very popular and delicious. However, the smell of oil permeated the yukata and hair I was wearing, so I felt like taking a bath and washing my hair again after the meal. I think it would be difficult, but if the ventilation environment was good, it would be perfect! That's how I felt."

"This place is located at Izu-Ōkawa Station, which is a bit off the beaten path for a transport hub in the East Izu area. The hotel offers a shuttle service, which you can book in advance via email or phone. The front desk has a ********* lady who speaks Chinese and is very helpful, answering any questions you might have. The food is quite good, and there are two large outdoor private onsens where you can see stars on a clear night. However, if you want to see a lot of stars, you should head to Ōshima or a nearby island. The room size is standard; in Japanese-style rooms, staff will lay out futons as there are no beds. The tatami mats are very new and have that unique new tatami smell. The private onsen in the room is also nice for a soak. If you're interested, there's also a wild hot spring by the sea – just Google it. You'll find a Lawson convenience store a short walk along the coastline. Overall, apart from the slightly remote location, there aren't any major drawbacks."
"It was a wonderful place. Quite as I wanted. My room
was with lovely details and everything well prepared. Train station was 6 minutes walk and the beach just across the street also 2 minutes walk only. With approx 15 minutes walk you could be in the next bigger area with food shops restaurants and the nice river. I could book a private 50 minute outdoor onsen time and it was awesome. The stuff are absolutely friendly and helpful. I felt so comfortable and had no wishes. I would come back."

GGuest UserJapanese-style room, the overall feeling is not bad, you need to drive to reach. There are no bathing facilities in the room and there is a public bathroom. The proprietress has a good service attitude and the Japanese breakfast is more refined.
WwhateveryHot spring Japanese-style hotel tatami public bathroom homestay is very close to the station. Outside the window is Hejin Sakura. The hotel name is not matched by the display on Trip.com . I didn’t dare to confirm that it was actually a soup house.
The boss is very good. It rains the next day. Bubble hot springs. It’s really good to experience the medicine stone bath. The medicine stone bath needs an extra fee of 1980. Dan is still worth experiencing.
Ddreaming travelOcean view, hot springs, guest rooms, kaiseki dinner, breakfast, and even yukatas, it was a great trip!
The comfortable and quiet atmosphere made me heal~
My whole family was satisfied, so we decided to come here again next time!
I plan to stay for 2 nights on my next trip^^
I think the coastal road drive will be a memorable one!
GGuest UserThis is a bit worn out and simple hotel. The best things were the extremely friendly and helpful staff, as well as the super delicious dinner & breakfast that was included in the price. I ate maybe the most delicious croissant ever here. The variety and the quality of food was great. Things to improve are the facilities, especially the onsen. It’s very small but more importantly, it wasn’t well maintained and there was no emergency button. When my mom felt like fainting, it wasn’t possible to call for help.
Also the air conditioner in the room was very loud, making it difficult to sleep. All in all, good stay.
PPANGTake the elderly to see the Kawaji Sakura, which is just in full bloom in mid-February. Very happy. There is a bus to the hotel at the bus stop near Hejin Station. At the information desk, we showed the hotel address, and the uncle staff instructed to get off at the ”Ciyanyuanqian” stop, which is the opposite! It is also convenient (note that the bus schedule is very sparse, the journey takes about 20 minutes, and the fare is 400 yen per person). On the return trip, the hotel has a free car to take us away. The environment of the hotel is elegant and clean, and the dinner and breakfast are all right. There is night cherry during the check-in period, and the hotel has a free car arrangement after dinner (not to imagine China and the United States, it is a pity not to see it). The hotel has to take the stairs and the bathroom is outside the room, so the elderly should pay attention! Overall satisfactory.
GGuest UserThe hotel is right by the sea. The view from the window of the room is very beautiful. Dinner and breakfast are complete and delicious. There is an outdoor onsen upstairs of the hotel. And there is a private onsen as well. The staff are willing to serve even though they can't speak English. But try to communicate with the guests Overall worth the price paid.
GGuest UserThe view was very beautiful in the ocean view room. There was a feeling of cleanliness everywhere in the building and I was able to spend it comfortably. The bath of the cherry blossoms was very good. I want to stay again when I go to Nishi Izu.
LloouThe hotel provides a pick-up service from Izu Jiudadama. The shuttle bus is on time. I am not afraid of not finding the hotel at night. I booked a Japanese-style room for four people on the same day. At that time, the waiter has prepared the tatami bed, but there are fewer restaurants nearby! But go to the 27th Nanyidou cherry blossom and rape flower festival at night cherry blossom spot and bamboo lantern spot about 10 to 15 minutes away!
LLThe staff are very polite and always willing to help. The room is big and comfortable. The sound-proof work is also effective, so I hardly hear any noise from rooms nearby.
However, note that the hotel is in the middle of a mountain. If you don’t drive, you have to rely on the car service which the hotel offers (free of charge but not always available). It is almost impossible to go by foot.
However, I must say the hotel staff has always tried their best to cater your needs, which I appreicate very much.
