"For our Kyushu trip, we primarily based ourselves in Kurume. It's a central transportation hub, making daily train travel incredibly convenient. The hotel's location was excellent – just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, surrounded by plenty of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. The rooms were well-maintained, clean, and spacious. The front desk staff were also very polite and courteous. It was also very convenient to take the bus to the high-speed rail station daily."
"If you buy a JR pass, this place is well connected and the Shinkansen is fast.
The room is very clean, and there is free bread and coffee for breakfast, and you don't need to buy breakfast rolls. There are convenience stores and places to eat inside and next to the station.
There is also a bus to the airport at the entrance of the station, which is very convenient. You don't need to walk. The station is 5 minutes away.
The power supply is on the key, so the power supply card is useless. (Attached with a map of the surrounding area)"
"I woke up unable to sleep on my first night... The air conditioner's placement is ridiculous! It's lower than any other hotel I've stayed in, and the wind blows directly at my head. I slept on the other side, and maybe the quilt was too high at first, so I woke up in the middle of the night from the heat. After pulling it back a bit, I felt the breeze was too cold. It was too hot where I was covered with the quilt, and too cold where I wasn't. I was worried I'd catch a cold. 🥲 I went to the front desk in the middle of the night to ask: 1. Are the air conditioner locations the same in all rooms? They said yes. 2. Do they have thinner quilts? They said no. My solution was to turn off the air conditioner before going to bed and use a bathrobe from the first floor as a quilt. PS: The window doesn't open."
"The room is clean but not too big. It is OK for one person, but it may be a little small for two people. There is no free mineral water, but there is a vending machine on the first floor. There is a parking lot, and it is convenient to take a taxi at the door. Overall, the price-performance ratio is good."
"Rooms are really cheap. The Fukuoka hotel was too expensive, so I settled for Kurumi, because there is a jrpass so I am not afraid of transportation costs. And the hotel has free curry in the evening"
"Anti-human hotel, check-out is at 10am! The next day, when I checked in, they asked me to take out my luggage before 10am and wait until 3 or 4pm to check in. It's really a ********* operation... It's speechless 😓... The front desk staff of Toyoko INN Hotel, the service attitude is still as bad as before...
"I had a trouble modifying my reservation online, so I called the property for onsite help. The agent showed no hesitation in helping me, and went beyond and above to make sure that he came up with the solution to solve my problem.
The hotel is very clean and offers excellent amenities for the price they charge, and I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a place to stay in Kurume. Even for local people because it is cheaper than a taxi fare in some cases."
"The hotel is located in Kurume Ichibangai and is about an 8-minute walk from Nishitetsu Kurume Station. Although the hotel is old fashion and the decoration is old-fashioned, the overall hygiene and service are good. The hotel also has self-service laundry and drying services. Washing is 300 yen for 30 minutes, and drying is 100 yen for 30 minutes. The prices are reasonable. The room size is good enough for us to put two large boxes of 27 and 28 inches respectively and still have enough space to move around. However, the hotel is a 30-minute walk from JR Kurume Station, so it will be quite far if you take the JR. "
"The room is large, the terrace is also large, there is a sense of age, but the whole is a very traditional and meticulous Japanese hotel. The garden of the hotel is very beautiful. The parking lot is opposite the wine table, suitable for self-driving passengers."
