"April 2025: Got there an hour before check in and was informed that while my tent was ready that I would have to pay 1,000 Yen for the extra hour. I had a hire car so went back into town and came back later. Not the best introduction to the site. Very nice tent, good beds and pillows with a heater for the cold nights. Bathroom facilities were clean. Food very much aimed at local guests rather than foreigners. Note that there is some noise from overhead planes, the railway and motorbikes using the road below. Nothing deafening but it spoils the tranquility. Overall a good experience."
"The room is old, but the health is not bad, the scenery is beautiful! The hotel is on a large steep hill. Since there is no meal, there is no convenience store around to buy something to eat. Fortunately, the manager (Chinese fellow) helped to call the car. I was really lucky. The driver was also Chinese. He helped to take it around, eat and shop; provided convenience. Thanks to the compatriots who work hard in a foreign country, come on! 💪💪💪"
"This trip went to stay at a unique hot spring hotel that has just opened. Rooms with natural hot springs and private gardens can watch movies in the open air in the private garden. Privacy is good to be protected! The Tsuruyoshigawa Hotel is hidden in the fishing village of the Manazuru Peninsula, the room is new, the garden and pond on the first floor are very nice, and it is very beautiful to relax and look at the pond while drinking coffee. The sunlight was illuminated by the surface of the water, making me feel relaxed at once. The most unforgettable thing was the smiles and warm and kind service of all the staff during the stay. Dinner and afternoon tea are unique to the seaside, and I was particularly impressed that there was such a luxurious dinner in the fishing village. All the staff at the restaurant were very polite, the service was fine and the food was really delicious and an extraordinary experience. I would like to go again if I have the opportunity."
"Nestled along the serene shores of Manazuru Port, this quaint Japanese-style inn exudes warmth and tradition at every turn. Run by a charming old lady whose hospitality transcends generations, the inn offers a glimpse into Japan's rich cultural tapestry.
From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a sense of tranquility. The tatami-matted rooms, though old, are meticulously clean, each carrying a tale of bygone eras. The gentle aroma of freshly brewed tea wafts through the air, inviting you to unwind and savor the moment.
What truly sets this inn apart is its breathtaking view of Manazuru Port and the expansive sea beyond. Whether you're enjoying a traditional Japanese breakfast or simply basking in the afternoon sun on the veranda, the vista never fails to mesmerize. The rhythmic dance of fishing boats against the backdrop of rolling waves is a sight to behold.
But it's the innkeeper's unwavering dedication to her guests that leaves the most lasting impression. With a genuine smile and a kind word, she ensures that every visitor feels like family. Her attention to detail and personalized care elevate the stay from ordinary to extraordinary.
For those seeking solace in the embrace of Japan's timeless charm, this hidden gem on the shores of Manazuru is a haven like no other. Embrace the tranquility, savor the hospitality, and let the spirit of Japan wash over you in waves of serenity.
