"The hot spring is great, and the water quality is very comfortable. 👍👍
The breakfast is delicious, and dinner is good too, but the menu never changes; it's the same every day. If you're staying for a longer ski trip, everything tastes bad after two days. 😓
The location is very convenient if you have your own car. If not, taking a taxi is also easy, though sometimes you have to wait a bit longer.
None of the staff speak English. Every time, they just give you a look that says, 'I don't understand, sorry, I can't help you,' which is very frustrating. 🥲🥲
**Hygiene:** I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Upon check-in, they said the room would be cleaned once after three days. However, three days passed, and even after reminding them, no one came to clean. No one cleaned the room until we left. I had to clean it myself every day like a housekeeper. 🥹
**Room:** The space is quite large. The overall feel is like a 70s-80s hotel. If you like a nostalgic vibe, it's pretty good.
The overall price is reasonable, it's a good place, and I'd come back here to ski next time. 👍👍 But I'll definitely bring an AI translator next time, otherwise, communication will be impossible. 😅😅"
"This one in Meichi is really good. It should be newly renovated. Every place and room is very clean. The room is large, comfortable and new. It turns out there is an outdoor hot spring. The website does not upload photos of the outdoor hot spring. A big surprise. Dinner was Kaiseki cuisine, breakfast is buffet style, I am very happy to stay in this hotel, all places and facilities exceed expectations, great! ! !"
"The guesthouse I stayed in during skiing in Hakuba - Tsugaike Plateau Washi House, is a 1-minute walk from the ski resort. It is run by Japanese grandparents and feels a bit old. I dare not turn off all the lights to sleep at night, always feeling that something in a cartoon will happen. Although the things are old, they are very clean. The breakfast is Japanese style, and the rice is very soft. It is the best I have eaten in the past few days. The best thing is that there is unlimited hot water and hot tea [strong], which is very friendly to Chinese middle-aged people who often make tea with American ginseng and wolfberry. These days, I either drink ice cola, ice orange, ice soda or ice water.
By the way, it seems that there are discount coupons for booking ski tickets here. The restaurant writes the usage time. I don’t know if tableware can be provided. If so, it would be great. I had the most expensive rice bowl in my life at Hakuba Happo, 200 RMB a bowl"
"We stayed on 24 to 26 Dec 25. Good hotel but far from everything else. Need to be flexible since weather was unpredictable.
We had no snow -just rain for two days, but when we checked out, we had heavy snow which disrupted our travel to Toyama with many trains cancellation and delays (a car stuck on the railroad track).
The hotel shuttle bus picks up at Minami-Otari station.
There are four coin-operated washing machines and four dryers which were always taken on 3rd Floor.
I would advise staying longer than two days and prepare for travel time as it took nearly 20 minutes for a bus ride to Iwatake each way."
With a stay at Hakuba Tsugaike Ski Slope Side Espoir Misawa in Otari, you'll be a 1-minute drive from Tsugaike Ski Resort and 6 minutes from Hakuba Iwatake Ski Resort. This ski hotel is 5.7 mi (9.1 km) from Hakuba Happo-One Ski Area and 7.6 mi (12.3 km) from Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort.
Enjoy the convenience of ski-in/ski-out access at this hotel, which also features hot springs. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, ski storage, and gift shops/newsstands.
Enjoy a meal at Tea Lounge or snacks in the coffee shop/cafe. The hotel also offers room service (during limited hours). Buffet breakfasts are available daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM for a fee.
Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Stay in one of 28 guestrooms featuring flat-screen televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and cable programming is available for your entertainment. Bathrooms with shower/tub combinations feature deep soaking bathtubs and hair dryers.
"Very satisfied with the accommodation! If you take the bus yourself, you can ask the guesthouse to arrange a private car to pick you up from Tsugaike Kogen Bus stop (reservations can only be made by phone). The rooms are the same as in the photos, the rooms on the 2nd floor have bathrooms, but the rooms on the 3rd floor do not. The restaurant overlooks the ski resort, and there is free wine during happy hour and dinner. I've stayed in many other B&Bs and hotels that require additional fees. The outdoor hot spring is a bit small and will be crowded if there are more than 4 people.
Highly recommended"
The Pension Kobekko is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Otari will find that the Pension Kobekko is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel is just 5km away from Chikuni Station. This hotel is located near many of Otari's attractions including Tsugaike Kogen Champion Slope, Ochiraku Shizen Park and private sauna DIVE. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. There's never a dull moment at this hotel, our guests indicate that the facilities are excellent.
"The room is very big for two people, with a large open space next to it. The boss is a Japanese grandfather who speaks fluent English, has clear ideas, and is well organized. The most amazing thing is the dinner. Every meal is different, so exquisite and delicious that I don't have the chance to eat snacks every day. It is one kilometer away from the ski resort. It can be closer by walking from Bell Ringing Hill, but the owner has a car and can pick you up and drop off, which makes up for the disadvantage of not being able to slide in and out. There are discounts for renting ski equipment and buying tickets, great"
"需要共享衞浴設施的酒店,但非常乾淨整潔設施也非常好。一樓的餐廳很不錯,不需要預訂也可以吃到美味的當地食材做的料理。
價格合適,在當地算便宜,包含早餐,簡單美味。
位置一流,出門兩分鐘就是雪場售票處和巴士站。
幾乎沒有服務,不提供接送。如果晚上四點後到白馬,請前往南小谷坐bus,或者在happo下來打車。不然無法抵達。
Perfect location, 2 mins walk to Tsugaike gondola; clean and nice facilities; free and nice breakfast; foreign staff speaking English; nice staff but no service at all, please help yourself; no pick up service, suggest to drop off at happy bus terminal for taxi."
