Breakfast buffet is always a regional specialty, Imoni. Even in Yamagata Prefecture, there are various beef and pork depending on the region, but Sakata City was beef Imoni. In addition, seasonal fruits are also produced locally. Strawberries, cherries, watermelons from spring to summer. From now on, isn't it pears or grapes? Curry from the morning ... Noodles are also ramen, zoba, etc. There is no doubt that you are full. There is also an ion nearby. The front desk and staff are friendly.
Sakata with my wife&Tsuruoka 3 nights and 4 days trip I used 1 nights (other 2 nights: Tokyo first ホテルTsuruoka). The reason I chose this is because I wanted to enjoy the scenery of the night [Yamai Warehouse]. The accommodation was シングル モデレート (room size: 15m2 ベッド width 140cm) 2 rooms. シングル is 2 タイプ and another スタンダード (room size: 14m2 ベッド width 120 cm) is also available. We used JR and visited Sakata, so we went between JR Sakata station ~ホテル タクシー (about 900 yen), and city sightseeing started at ホテル and on foot (because the weather on the second day was raining). Breakfast stopped ビュッフェ, and it was fixed スタイル, and テーブル was easy to [マスクケース (paper)] I had a good impression, because I had trouble with マスク in other ホテル. Dinner wants to eat fish dishes with タップリ, and use [tomishige] which is a walking distance from here, and there is [スーパー Yamazawa Yamai Cho store] [ドラッグヤマザワ Yamai Cho store] in front of ホテル, and even if there is something necessary, it is easy to get it. I can do it.

One of the best traditional inns (ryokan) in Sakata! Staff are very friendly and especially interested in foreign guests. Was able to have great conversations and learn more about Sakata! There are English-speaking staff, English menu and other information translated into English. Rooms are clean and cozy and the herbal bathhouse (ofuro) is open 24hr. Free bicycle rental is available and so all of Sakata’s tourist attractions can easily be visited within a 40-minute walking radius. Lunch in Wakaba is also open to non-guests and is always priced at ¥800. Even among the locals, Wakaba is known for its delicious food! Halal food can also be provided if requested in advance. It was an amazing stay!
First of all, I entered the building and was surprised that the facilities were beautiful. The staff at the front desk and breakfast restaurant are a squeaky and kind impression. The room was necessary and sufficient, the bed was semi-double hard and I rested slowly. The negative is that it is far from the station and there are few restaurants.
○Service
Sakata Station Hotel offers polite and friendly service at reasonable prices. The staff are kind, and although the building is old, it is well-cleaned, providing a comfortable stay.
○Facilities
The hotel facilities are simple but functional, and clean. There are no amenities in the rooms, so you will need to bring them or rent them from the front desk. Free Wi-Fi is available, but the signal is weak in the corner rooms. The breakfast at the cafe on the first floor is reasonable and delicious.
○Access
The hotel is located about a 2-minute walk from Sakata Station, making it a very convenient location. The location in front of the station is particularly convenient for travelers using public transportation, and it is easy to access the tourist attractions and business areas around the station. It is also easy to access Sakata Port and the city's major tourist attractions, making it a good base for sightseeing.
○Useful Information
We provide guests with information on how to access tourist attractions and local events, so even first-time visitors to Sakata can rest assured. There are also restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel, so you will have no trouble enjoying local cuisine. It is also suitable for business travelers, and has a coin laundry facility which is convenient for business travelers.
I usually stay at a business hotel in Sakata, but this time there was an ANA campaign and the price was cheaper than usual, so I stopped by. The building is new, having opened two years ago, and the location is close to Sakata Station, just across the pedestrian crossing. What surprised me the most was that despite being in a provincial city, the quality of breakfast was excellent, and it was comparable to luxury hotels in Tokyo. I never thought I would be able to eat a freshly baked omelet. However, the difficulty was that the front desk was not used to it, so it was a little slow to check in. I would like to stay again in Sakata.

Sankyo-Soko Rice Storehouses Site
苏苏黎世豪宸I think this is a good attraction in the small city. I charge 300 yen to see how to make rice. There is an anniversary mall in front, and there is a good restaurant. It is good to see outside without spending money, and still maintain some ancient craftsmanship!

Seikeien Garden
ZZhKevinThe Seikameen Garden was built in 1891 as a villa of the Ito Shiroemon family, who was said to be the second largest landlord after the Honma family in Sakata. At the same time as the building of the villa, the garden created by Yamada Isyu (Ichijuro) in Sakata was called "Seihoen". Yamada Isyu was known as a famous gardener who had more than 50 disciples at that time and worked on the garden of the Oyama family villa "Yorishutei" in Hamahata, Sakata. Initially, the garden was so large that there were rice fields in the garden, but it has been reduced with the times. Today, about 250 garden trees and ponds, nine stone lanterns, and various large and small garden stones are beautifully arranged. After that, it was owned by Mr. Kamezaburo Ikeda, and Sakata City acquired it in 1954. Currently, it is open to the public as a lifelong learning facility in Sakata City.
